"Now where do you think you're going?!" The Queen screamed, following a certain raven-haired princess down the corridors of the castle.
"Somewhere you're not." The princess replied angrily, almost tripping over her skirts as she tried to run.
"Jessica! You will not leave this palace!" The Founder stopped, jabbing a finger in the direction of the ground.
The princess didn't listen to her, and she continued to run, running faster than she ever had before. She was tired of this life, a life trapped on an island. She'd rather fall into the Void than live in Sky City for another day.
The Founder ran after her daughter once more, calling nearby guards to retrieve the fourteen-year-old princess.
The guards had underestimated her though, she could outrun most, but a few could catch up and tried to grab her. Knowing the weaknesses of each guard, she kicked them where it hurt, and their grip released on her.
It was too late for them to stop her, for she was at the edge of Sky City, ready to fall off. The Founder finally caught up to the teen, grabbing her arm and begging her to stay.
"Jessica, you fall into the Void, you die! Do you want to die when your life is just beginning?" The Queen asked.
"Yes. I'm tired of the way people treat me, and how little freedom we have here. The crimes are way too strict, and everyone thinks I'm still a baby!" Jessica shouted, finally giving in to her frustration.
"You know why things must be the way we are. We could at least try to make things better." The Founder gripped her daughter's shoulders, but Jessica pulled away.
"No! Nothing will change! You're never gonna change!" Jessica said matter of factly, reaching to wipe hot, angry tears from her eyes.
The Founder reached for her again, only for the young princess to push her backward back to the ground. When the Founder lifted her upper body, it was too late.
Her daughter, her only child, had jumped off, falling into the Void. All she could do was lean over the edge, extend her arm, and scream. "JESSICA!!!"
Tears of heartbreak slid down her cheeks, as she watched her little girl disappear into the Void.
They never saw her- again.
The Founder had mourned ever since, never being able to come to terms with the fact that her daughter was dead.
Or so she thought. Little did she know that her child had returned, and had saved her and the people of Sky City from the Blaze Rods.
And if she couldn't see the uncanny resemblance between her and the hero Jesse, then no one could. Except for the father, and who is the father of Princess Jessica? Well, it would surprise everyone, especially Jessica herself, who had never met him.
Milo stopped pacing, pulling out a necklace. Not just any necklace though, the locket was the same one Jessica wore around her neck when she fell into the Void. Shortly after the Order had left the people of Sky City along with Milo, Isa, and Benedict to create a new civilization without the overly strict rules, Milo found himself going after Isa.
He had discovered something, and he needed to know if she noticed too. Isa and Benedict were almost leaving for another trip, but Milo blocked their path.
With that Isa laid her hands on her hips, glaring. "What do you want, Milo?"
"Isa, doesn't Jesse remind you of someone?" He asked, hoping she knew exactly what he meant.
"No, I've never met someone like her before. Why?" Isa wondered, arching an eyebrow as Milo started to pace.
"It's not a coincidence that Jessica fell into the Void, never seen again, only for some hero they called Jesse to arrive." Milo pointed out.
"What are you getting at?" Isa crossed her arms, clearly irritated with this conversation.
Milo showed her the necklace. Isa quickly became confused, the locket had disappeared along with Jessica, so how did Milo get a hold of it?
"We didn't just see Jesse, Isa. We saw our daughter."
