32. Carnival

A yawn escapes my lips as I sit up and Jade turns the blaring alarm off.

Yesterday went so well at my parents house as Mom and Dad love Jade and Blaze, Mom asked for us to come over earlier than planned originally. Dad was telling Blaze all about sports and showed him his little nic-nacs from famous athlete's he has had the opportunity to meet through the years, which had Blaze even more excited.

It has been close to a week since Jade and I shared the words of our feelings for each other. Since then I have only been to my house one time and that was to get some more clothes as I have been staying with Jade and Blaze. Jade never got paged in for work again during his time off and we spent it just hiking, boating, or being lazy inside.

Today though Jade is taking Blaze and I to the carvinal a town over.

"Why did the alarm go off?" Jade mumbles and rolls over pulling me tight to his side.

As Jade lays with me pulled to him, I study his features and smile lightly. His eyelashes are so long and curved nicely, it does make me a tad bit jealous. His skin is so smooth. Everything is perfectly symmetrical.

"That is very distrubing." Jade opens an eye and groans before pushing me off him and rolling over.

"Hey don't turn away from me." I punch his back.

"Distrubing turned creepy to see you smiling at me then you turn into violence." Jade chuckles.

I tackle him and slide over his body to be in front of him again.

"What if I happen to want to be spooned instead being the one to do it?" Jade smirks and I laugh before going back over him, making him laugh a bit louder.

"There." I try to wrap my arm around him but he takes my forearm and pulls me back in front of him then captures my lips in his, before I break the kiss. "Nature calls." I get up from the bed only to go right to the floor. My feet all twisted up in the sheets.

Jade laughs and leans over the bed on his stomach, as his hands work on unwrapping the sheets from my feet and I bolt to the bathroom a moment later. I tend to all the morning hygiene and walk back out to see Jade leaning against the headboard a smirk on his face.

I walk to the bag I had brought with my clothes inside with the towel wrapped around my body.

"Does all your undergraments match?" Jade smirks as I down the towel and slide on my lace panties.

"Yup. I found this place a couple years back that had a massive sale and found all these."

Jade gets up and kisses my lips before walking to the bathroom and I hear the water running. Being dressed, I open the door and walk to the kitchen after looking into Blaze's room to see him still sleeping.

I pull out the muffin maker and pop open the english muffins before placing things on the inside and cooking up some ham, egg, and cheese muffins.

"It smells good." Jade wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my shoulder.

"I thought this would be good with a side of yogurt and granola mix."

Jade nods and pulls those out and mixes up three bowls while I plate a breakfast muffin onto the small plates. Blaze comes in and eats his breakfast. After we are all finished, Jade and I clean the kitchen as Blaze bounces out of his room dressed and ready for the day.

"Can we play outside?"

Jade nods at Blaze's question and we all walk out the back door. Blaze runs to his play set and I go to sit on the lounger but Jade catches me. He sits then pulls me to his lap, I lay against him with my head on his shoulder as we watch Blaze play.

"I never want these days to end." Jade hums and I nod lightly as his fingers trail over my thigh.

We get up from the lounger and walk to the playset as Blaze is climbing the rope section up to the slide. He turns and looks to us with a smile. "This has been so much fun."

"I am glad your having fun little man." Jade smiles.

"Though I wish I had someone to play with out here." Blaze picks at the end of the rope before he climbs up completely. "A brother would be fun."

He turns and gets into the slide and I choke on my spit and look to Jade, his mouth dropped open. Blaze comes out at the bottom and goes to climbing back up the rope. My mind is lost in thought as I watch Blaze play on the jungle gym.

"Time to get in the car." Jade calls out to Blaze as we have walked back up to the back door after watching him play a bit longer.

Blaze comes running and we go inside. "I need to use the bathroom." He walks to the restroom and closes the door.

Jade spins in front of me and kisses my lips tenderly before pulling away.

We get in the car and Jade drives us to the carnival. "What is there to do at the carnival?" Blaze bounces in his seat as Jade parks the car and I get out then help Blaze out.

"There will be games we can play, rides, and food." I smile as Blaze takes my hand and Jade places his on my lower back.

We buy our tickets and walk inside, as Blaze smiles taking in everything. "What would you like to do first?"

"That." Blaze points to the ring and bottle game to our right.

"Let's go." Jade smiles and leads us over.

I watch as Jade and Blaze are at the counter and playing the game. They come back and Blaze holds a tiny horse figure.

"Would you like to put it in my bag?"

Blaze nods and places it inside before we walk further into the carnival. More games are played and more prizes are won.

"What is that?" Blaze points.

"That is a cotton candy machine." I smile and take his hand leading him over to it. We watch as the worker makes up a large puff of sugar goodness and I pay for it before letting Blaze take a chunk off and trying it. He hums and smiles. "Like it?" He nods and gets more as Jade and I share some with him.

"Now, let's try this ride."

Blaze tilts his head. "Will you hold my hand?" As he looks at the ride that is small seats inside a cage that spins around as he reaches the height restrictions and I nod.

"Of course."

"I will hang back." Jade pales slightly and I hand him my bag with a kiss on his lips. "We can get some dinner after. There is a seafood shack at the edge of the carnival."

"Sounds great." I smile and Blaze nods.
