An Overlord Meeting

I laid in bed as I woke up early. I missed the way Vox wakes me ready to great the day. The way he used to call me Beautiful in the morning. Fuck I was missing him and I'm not still convinced he would wait for me.
I rolled out of bed and put on my red dress with the black belt. I fixed my hair and walked out the door. I walked out my door and saw Baxter leaving his.
"Look," Baxter said as he held up a beaker with very bright blue fluid in it.
"I don't think Charlie will be very happy if you explode her new hotel," I said.
"It's blue raspberry drink," Baxter said.
"Oh," I said. "Why is it in a beaker?"
"I didn't have cups," Baxter said.
"Strange little fish man," I said.
"Strange random girl," Baxter said as he took a sip of his drink.
"Is it good at least?" I asked.
"Not really," Baxter said.
I laughed as he threw it out a window and we walked down the hall.

Alastor appeared in front of me when we reached the bottom of the stairs.
"We are going somewhere today my little ocean dwellers," Alastor said.
"No thanks," Baxter said but Alastor made his neck go into an unnatural position which scared Baxter. "I mean where are we going?"
"The overlords called an emergency meeting," Alastor said.
"Why would they do that?" Asked Husk from behind Alastor.
"I don't remember speaking to you," Alastor said.
"But why would they call for one of those?" I asked.
"Maybe it has to do with an Overlord stealing souls that aren't his without killing the previous overlord or making a deal," Husk said while sipping his coffee.
"Interesting, politics," Baxter said.
All of use stared at Baxter who then immediately blushed and hid his face by looking at the floor.
"So it's about me," I said.
"Seeing it was your boss that asked for it, I would presume so," Alastor said.
"Fun," I said but was secretly excited.
"Fun," Baxter repeated sounding off.
Alastor walked away from us.
"Oh yeah I was suppose to tell you that by the way," Baxter said. "Then I got distracted by making a horrible tasting drink."
"Thanks," I said. "I hate your AdHd."
"I like it," Baxter said. "Have you ever learned a new thing in twelve hours and then slept for twenty four it's like a power."
I rolled my eyes and walked away from him.

The three of us were walking down the street together.
"So why did I have to come?" Baxter asked.
"I want to point out he sent a spy," Alastor said.
"Oh," Baxter said.
"Good job trying to keep your cover," I said.
"Look he should have picked someone else because I can't read social cues and I like to keep things very detailed," Baxter said moving his hands as he explained his thoughts.
"And you're awkward," I added.
"You fold under pressure," Alastor also added.
"I hate this as much as you guys do," Baxter said.
"It would be fine if I was allowed to leave," I said looking at Alastor.
"Watch it," He reminded me.
As we approached the building, I looked at Baxter who was observing all the overlords.
"I'm going to die," Baxter whispered. "This is why you don't make friends."
"I'm your only friend," I said.
"Yes and before you all I did was experiments and make new technology," Baxter said. "Life was simpler."
"You don't want to be friends anymore?" I asked knowing he was just stressed.
"I didn't say that it's just you are difficult to be friends with when I also get kidnapped," Baxter said.
Alastor stepped onto the elevator and we followed. I felt my heart race. I didn't want to disappoint Vox by wearing my red dress. I felt himself clenching my fists causing my claws to puncture my palms. I felt the blood in my hands.
Once the elevator arrived on the floor and we walked in. There were a lot of powerhouses here. I felt my heart beats faster as I clutched my fist to my side. I looked over to see all the vees. Vox immediately stood up and walked towards us. Alastor blocked him from me.
"Move out of the way!" Vox screamed.
"Nope mine now," Alastor said.
"I own her soul and you don't!" Vox yelled.
"Hmmmm nope she's a resident at the hotel and I have to protect Charlie's project," Alastor said.
"She is not a resident!" Vox continued to scream. "You kidnapped her."
"Oh if I did that I would have needed help," Alastor said.
"I know who helped you," Vox said. "Now give me Ness back!"
"Enough!" Carmella yelled. "Take your seats we will discuss this as we intended to."
"Again who made you in charge?" Velevette asked.
"I am trying to prevent an overlord war," Carmella said. "If you vees and Alastor go to war, one will come out and it will shake hell. We already had that once and it ended in a draw. Now Vox do you actually own that soul."
Vox pulled out the paper contract and handed to Carmella. She looked it over.
"This is Hazel's contract," Carmella said.
"That was her original name," Vox said.
"Is that true?" Carmella asked me.
Baxter and I were standing against the wall. I watched as they all looked at me.
"It is," I said feeling rather shaky.
"Interesting," Carmella said.
"See so I want her back!" Vox yelled while slamming his fist to the table.
"It is rather childish of you to call an overlord meeting to get her back," Alastor said. "I like to point out he sent a spy."
"Is this true?" Carmella asked.
"He has my soul!" Vox said. "I had to make sure she wasn't being tortured."
"She is fine," Alastor said. "She is safe, dressed, and fed."
"I'm guessing the fish is the spy," Carmella said.
"Yes," Vox said as he scratched the table as he was pissed to admit fault.
"This is a difficult decision," Carmella said. "Why care so much about a simple soul that seems replaceable."
Okay those words hurt but she wasn't wrong either.
"Because it's the principle," Vox said. "She signed her soul to me he can't just take her."
"Is that the only reason?" Carmella asked.
"He's fucking her," Val said.
I felt my cheeks get red. There was a sudden amount of whispers between the overlords.
"He fucks a lot of people," Carmella said.
"I told him he could get a new whore instead of starting a war," Val said.
"He's just jealous because he likes her enough to stop fucking him," Velevette said. "Look if this is the case I'm going to start kidnapping your souls."
"This is complicated matter because Vox should have called the meeting first not send a spy," Carmella said.
"This is ridiculous," Vox said as he stood up and started to walk over to me.
Alastor stood up and forced me to stand directly behind him.
"Give her to me now!" Vox screamed.
"Try and take her from me," Alastor teased.
Vox tackled Alastor to the ground. I stepped back as Vox start to throw punches at Alastor. Alastor growled and summoned tentacles and then Vox zipped them away. Both were fighting. Overlords screaming and cheering to see who would win.
"Enough!" Carmell said as she pulled Vox off of Alastor. "We can do this civilized. Alastor give her back."
"I'm sorry but I am unable to do that," Alastor said.
He handed Carmella a piece of paper. Carmella read it and Vox looked shocked.
"How did you?" Vox started to ask.
"Lucifer has voided your contract with her," Alastor said. "You do not own her and therefore I can keep her locked away."
"I have only landed eyes on a few of these types of arrangements and it does look to be valid," Zestial said.
"Can't I just sign back on?" I asked.
"You can but you think I'm going to allow that to happen," Alastor asked me.
"Alright," Carmella said. "This matter is done.
Vox take your spy back and Ness you may try to leave with who you want but it seems that has been decided for you," Carmella said as the other overlords started to leave.
Vox stared at me. I could hear Val laughing at his success. Vox walked up to me and Alastor didn't stop him.
"Can I speak to her?" Vox asked him. "Alone?"
The other vees left and it was just Alastor, Baxter, Vox and I.
"Come along little fish," Alastor said. "The shadow will watch them to make sure no signing takes place."
"Wait you are still taking Ben?" Vox asked.
"No I am taking Baxter outside of the meeting room, he is now a residence at the hotel," Alastor said.
"Wait you're taking another one of my souls?!" Vox asked.
"Would you like to file another meeting?" Alastor asked.
"No you can have that one," Vox said.
Baxter was going to say something but Alastor pulled him away by his coat. It was just me and the shadow and Vox left.
Vox immediately grabbed my waist and pulled me in for a kiss. I kissed back. It was a passionate kiss and it was a little sloppy but I missed the way his lips felt on mine. He slipped his tongue in my mouth. I could tell by his boner pressed against me he was hungry for more. He ran his fingers through my hair as I left my leg to wrap it around him. Just then the shadow pulled me back and I felt hurt seeing Vox's face.
"I wasn't going to fuck her here," Vox said. "Please Al I miss her."
I looked at the shadow and it looked hurt. The shadow pulled me out of the board room. Vox followed us.
"I'll find a way to get your back," Vox said. "I don't think that was legit contract. I think he forged it. Please just don't give up on us."
Vox grabbed my hand and I looked at him.
"I won't," I said.
Alastor met us and he took over for the shadow on holding my arm. He ripped me out of Vox's arms again. Vox stood there looking crushed as Alastor dragged me away. I felt my heart break.
