It was the same routine every rainy night, C.C had grown quite used to this by now. However he still felt memorized by the sight. It always started the same, he'd come to find Parker missing in his usually spot in their shared room, then came the panic and search around the house for a boy. He'd then end up standing in the doorway of the front door, having found the blonde sitting on the edge of the porch, just enough to where the roof over it barely covered him.
Like always, No jacket, no sweater, not even a long pair of night pants. Just an oversized shirt and shorts, his bandages that covered his arms and legs either sat in a pile beside him or laying loosely against his limbs. he sat there and let the rain trickle against the scars that littered his body. Each time C.C felt his heart beat faster despite being this being a regular thing at this point. So much so he stopped panicking when the boy mysteriously disappeared on a rainy occasion, so much so the porch became the first spot to check, so much so he stopped lecturing Parker about it.
And just like always, he stepped out and took a spot beside him, his brunette fluffy hair quickly becoming damp as the rain hit it. The constant burning from his head wound starting to cool off as the water seeped through his hair, he didn't usually like the feeling of being cold and wet, but in this case it was quite comforting. Parker had smiled at his presence and cuddled up against his arm. C.C let out a soft laugh followed by a eye roll, spreading his wing and wrapping his feathers around the boy. Parker processed his own pair of feathers and yet always seemed to be more comforted when wrapped in C.C's.
C.C typically doesn't like people touching his wings, he finds it weird, but Parker was the one acceptation. He always made acceptations when it came to him, Parker knew it to and even though he didn't say it, it made him happy. Knowing that that kind of attention and affection was saved just for him made him feel warm, just like he felt cuddled against C.C. The brunette nuzzled his chin in the top of the blondes hair, Parker had completely snuggled into his chest, letting his body lay against C.C.
He didn't mind Parker sitting on his lap, just wishing his wings didn't expose that as well, as they had started gently flapping a bit. Wasn't in a weird way, it just made him flustered at how comfortable Parker was with him. The blondes not usually one for psychical touch, to be honest he never really lets anyone touch him. only C.C has ever been allowed to hold hid like this.
And that made C.C dread the day he couldn't, and have to sit in the rain alone.
