Brooke Davis and the tree hill cheerleaders take to the court to perform. With the newest addition and arch rival Rachel Gatina. At the same time in the locker room ...Lucas Scott decides to have it out with Beau. "Anything else of mine you want to steal Beau? I mean ...you steal my spot...the spot Iv been working at for years" Nathan steps up between them, pushing Lucas back before he turns his pissy mood to Nathan "your no better, you gonna tell me what's going on with Haley?". Nathan places his hand against Lucas pushing him away from a time ticking Beau bomb. Beau who wants to scream in Lucas's face how she may have gotten the spot but he got the girl. "Lucas, this is a pep rally. Where's your pep?" Nathan stands stoic in front of Lucas "she's your wife! You treating her like this ... manipulating her, pushing her back to Chris? She's your fucking sister Beau and you're letting him treat her like shit". Beau steps round Nathan pushing his arms away and squaring up to Lucas "you need to back up...now". "Really...?" "Back up Lucas" Nathan warns joining Beau. "Is that an order? Captain?" Lucas flicks Nathan's jersey "don't push me bitch". "Why ...you gonna do something about it? You're a coward...both of you are. Fucking cowards and you ...your a fucking snake Beau" Lucas points between Beau and Nathan before the first punch is swung.

"Now the team that's going to win us our state title ... your Tree Hill Ravens!!!" Dan roars and points to the spotlight. Beau, Lucas and Nathan all fall onto the court. Pushing, swinging, hitting, punching. Beau hits Lucas in the jaw. Lucas cracks Nathan in the ribs. The other ravens all falling in trying to split the fight up. Whitey Durham watches from the sidelines ...utterly disappointed in the entire team. "Lucas Scott throws a roundhouse to Nathan Scott's jaw. It's just past 12:00 and all hells broken loose! Beau James cracks an uppercut to Lucas Scott's jaw! Now this is truly Midnight Madness!!" Mouth commentates on the event watching the chaos unfold in front of him.

Brooke's PoV

It's been hell since Halloween...I'm officially Lucas's girlfriend and Beau hasn't looked at me once since that night. Which is great for my relationship ...but not so much for ... never mind. Peyton now knows ...of my ...slight crush on Beau. Apparently I was as subtle a sledgehammer about my small crush on Beau. Iv explained my reasons to my best friend ...even thought she thinks I'm an idiot. "These are our last cheerleader try outs ever" I gasp sitting in the seat next to Peyton in the gym. "Yeah, I'm really broken up about it" Peyton slouches sarcastically as I scoff. "Come on. How can you not love try out day? Just the smell of it, like sports bras and desperation" I smile leaning back in my chair. "Hmm speaking of desperate, how's life in the ...you have a boyfriend but like someone else world?" Peyton asks as I glare at her. "Awful. Lucas is so nice to me and loving and all I can do is think about she who shall not be named. It's bothering me Peyton...the last time she even looked at me was just before she was dancing with that slut" my voice dripping with venom thinking about her hands on Beau. "Brooke when are you gonna quit this crap and accept the fact that maybe ...you should just be with..." I cut her off placing my hand on her mouth "she who shall not be named. And Peyton you know my reasons. Head cheerleader, school president...the squad...my parents. The last one being a huge deal, you know fine well they wouldn't accept it". I lift my hand from her mouth leaning back in my chair and rubbing my forehead. "I don't want you to look back and regret not taking this leap... and Beau finding someone else" Peyton says, the two of us completely unaware to the group of girls walking in "uh is this where cheer try outs are?". "What tipped you off?" I ask her looking up at the massive sign reading 'Ravens cheerleader tryouts today'.
