Just like I thought, Yoonsik ran out of the store, chasing after her as she took off with the macarons. I grabbed the helmet on her motorcycle, holding it in my hand as she stepped outside, and immediately gave a groan.

"You can't just not pay!" Yoonsik peered his head out of the door as she leant her head to look up and then back at me.

"I said I'll pay later, jesus." She didn't seem the most friendliest in the world, I didn't like difficult customers - nobody did - but they were inevitable sometimes.

"You can't pay later, we can't trust that you'll come back. So, you have your macarons, so pay up." I swung the helmet around my hand slowly as she just rolled her eyes, muttered something under her breath.

"Seriously? You guys are going to be that stingy over some macarons? I don't have time for this right now." She insisted, and I just gave an exasperated exhale.

"You're being stingy over paying, if you just paid, maybe you'd have some more time." I shut her comment down, where was the logic in this?

"Listen woman, you're bizarre, genuinely. Give me my damn helmet back." She began growing frustrated with me, which I don't understand why, cause it was literally her own fault we were in this situation.

"Money first." I crossed my arms, already sick of this.

"Fuck this bakery man." She muttered under her breath, pulling out her wallet from her pocket and pulling a few bills out.

I stared her down, taking the money from her and handing her the helmet back. She gave another groan, along with a roll of the eyes before cursing under her breath and placing her helmet back on.

It was never that hard? Was it.

I head back inside, victorious with that customer. I have no idea whether it was a stereotype or what, but from my own experience, motorcyclists were one of the rudest people I've ever met, this includes my brother.

Yoonsik stared at me as I just walked inside, a light smile on his face as I placed the money on the counter.

"It's not a day at work unless someone tries to steal something, huh." He chuckled as I nodded my head, my shift was soon ending, and to be fair, I kind of didn't want it to.

I knew that as soon as the sun would start to set, the party across as Heeseung's house would commence, with a bang too. It's gonna be so loud tonight that I'm enjoying this peaceful silence in this bakery right now.

"What's on your mind?" Yoonsik leant against the counter beside me, looking over at me as I was in a deep thought.

"Wondering how many sleeping pills I need to chug tonight." I deadpanned, Yoonsik gave a small laugh at me.

"Heeseung hosting again?" He managed to guess this easily, he knew my brother pretty well. Not in the sense that they were close, but I spoke about him sometimes, and whenever Heeseung came into the bakery, he'd speak to Yoonsik.

Heeseung didn't necessarily like the fact that I worked with a male, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't like the fact that males exist around me anyways. He's just like the standard older brother, literally, protective over me, yet reckless with himself.

Whenever I try to tell him to not do something like ride his motorcycle, he uses the same excuse being - I'm the younger one, so I should listen to him, and of course, always the same excuse of 'don't worry about me.'

But as his younger sister, I can't help but worry about him. Motorcycles are dangerous, very dangerous. Sure, they look cool and whatnot, but who knows, a car could pull out while you're driving very fast, and then what? You're pretty much gone.

Although I tried to not think about scenarios like that, they came to haunt me sometimes, but I made sure to appreciate Heeseung still being here as much as I could. Because If I couldn't stop him from riding his motorcycle, then the least I could do is spend time with him.

"Yup, again. I swear it's like the third time this week." I shook my head, "How the hell does that guy not have liver failure?"

"I'm wondering the same thing too, all I hear from you about him is that he's hosting parties like every day." Yoonsik shrugged, messing with the cash register over and over again.

"Wish he could do something better with his life, but whatever." I gave another sigh, resting my chin on my palm on the counter, and staring out of the window.
