KACEY'S NEW HOME
los angeles, california
march 10, 2024
monday
6pm

i stood at my front door as i ushered people in for my housewarming party. the sound of laughter and chatter filled the air as guests filtered into my new home. the place had been transformed into a party venue, with colorful decorations, music playing softly in the background, and a bar set up in the living room.

i smiled as i greeted everyone, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. this was my first time hosting a party here, and i wanted everything to be perfect.

i spotted ivy, penny and carmen entering the house together, their arms laden with gift bags. i greeted them with a warm smile. "hey you guys," i said, giving them each a hug. "so glad you could make it."

"of course, we wouldn't have missed it for the world!" penny grinned, handing me one of the gift bags. "here, this is for you. congrats on the new house, kace."

i took the bag from her, feeling a mix of gratitude and nervousness. i was never good at accepting gifts, it always made me feel like i owed something in return. "oh, you all really didn't have to get me anything," i protested.

ivy rolled her eyes playfully, swatting my arm. "oh, shut up. you know we love shopping for you, so just accept the gifts gracefully, alright?"

"alright." i said with a nod before watching as they walked with other guests. more and more people came in. like, the hadid sisters, lily-rose depp, lila moss, barry keoghan, daisy newton, austin butler, kaia gerber, lana and so many more.

the house was bustling with activity, people mingling and chatting, music playing in the background, and the smell of food and drinks filling the air. it felt great to be surrounded by friends and loved ones in my new home.

i made my way through the crowd, greeting people and making small talk. some were chatting about the new song, saying how much they loved it and how i looked happier than ever.

i cleared my throat at the front of the living room and turned down the music to grab everyone's attention. "hey everyone, can i get your attention for a minute?" i called out, addressing the crowd. the chatter and music died down as people turned to look at me, curious to see what i had to say. "thank you," i said with a smile. "first off, i just want to say thank you all so much for coming tonight. it means a lot to me that you all could be here to help me celebrate my new home." i glanced around the room, making eye contact with a few familiar faces.

as i was speaking the front door opened as callum walked through. i paused for a moment, noticing that callum had just walked in. my heart skipped a beat as our eyes met. i could feel a small smile tugging at the corner of my lips, but i quickly composed myself and continued my speech.

"anyway, i just want to say that i am so grateful to have each and every one of you in my life." i said, looking around at the sea of faces. "you all have been there for me through thick and thin, and i couldn't have asked for better friends and loved ones. thank you all for being here with me tonight to celebrate this new chapter in my life."

i started to walk over to callum but austin and barry quickly pulled callum into a hug. "long time no see, man!" austin yelled at callum.

i chuckled to myself as i watched austin and barry pounce on callum, pulling him into a bear hug. callum laughed and returned the embrace, clearly happy to see them. "yeah, it's been awhile," he said, ruffling barry's hair affectionately. "how have you two been?"

to not be seen as ear hustling i made my way over to daisy who was standing with carmen, ivy and penny. "hi ladies," i said to them.

they all turned to me and smiled. ivy was the first to speak up. "hey, kacey! congrats again on the new place, it's gorgeous."
