Chapter 26

Selena's POV

Justin surprisingly held all doors for me. I thought was quite nice of him.

We met up with everyone near the ticket booth so they could discuss who was paying for the tickets and who was paying for the snacks

we all came  to a conclusion that the guys will pay for the tickets and us girls would pay for the snacks. fair enough we all disbursed. 

Vanessa gave every  one of us girls a job to do before the boys came back with the tickets

I had to pay for the popcorn, Demi had to pay for the drinks, Vanessa went to pay for the candies Taylor went to go get her and Ryan nachos since they preferred nachos instead of popcorn. and Niketa, well she took off before taylor could send her to buy anything. not that  we needed anything else, we pretty much have everything we needed.

"How are you and Justin doing?" Demi engaged in a hushed conversation with me, as we waited by the Usher for the boys to come with the tickets.

I turned to face her " we're good" I smiled glancing over at Justin. Just to see him through his head back in laughter after Jake told him some joke.

"I'm happy your actually giving relationships and another shot" she said cautiously

causing me to sigh stealing a glance back over to her. Before saying

"I know, I cant keep myself locked to someone who's no longer alive" I said looking back over to Justin and the guys.

something behind Justin, in the line caught my attention though. Not a something a Girl standing a few feet away from the guys waiting to pay for their tickets too.. But that's not the thing that caught my attention though. It was the way she was intensely starring into Justin's soul, it was almost like she was studying him for some reason. 

And to be honest with you it Ticked me off

"You know? it wouldn't be fair to you, so I totally understand" Demi said finishing whatever she was saying, obviously clueless to my  lack of interest  in our little chat

I cleared my throat and averted my focus back to Demi as the guys start to make their way over to us

"I know, so that's why I decided to give him a chance" I said winging it

Grinning wide Demi said " And I'm proud of you"

The boys chose to watch Ride Along, And Quiet frankly I don't have a problem with it , since I love Kevin Hart.

choosing our seats in the nearly half full, half empty theater. We sat don't to watch the movie as it started

somewhere during the middle Justin and I were in the middle of a quiet entertaining talk when a figure stood above Justin, since he was sitting near the edge of the aisle. I Move my mocking gaze away from Justin's own to look up at the figure that stood above him. To find the same girl that was watching him like he was a piece of meat before.

Smiling down at him

"Hey Justin' she screeches in a high voice that makes me want to cover my ears

apparently she not only bothered me but she disturbed the whole theater. because soon after the whole audience "Shushed" her

you would of thought due to all the attention she cause upon herself that she would of been embarrassed and she'd make her way back to where she came from, but NO. She rolled her eyes and sat down on the opposite side of Justin  

She flipped her damage blonde hair over her shoulder and batted her fake eyelashes at Justin

who was caught by surprise so it took him awhile to respond to her screeching

"who's that" Demi whispered to me

Shrugging my shoulders " I Don't know"

"hey Rebecca" Justin spoke to her for the first time

he turned back to me to continue our conversation that was disrespectfully interrupted .

but for some reason I couldn't concentrate on what he was saying, because from the corner of my eyes I could see her glaring at me

"Justin remember when we used to go in my backyard and stare up at the stars" she continued 'those were the days"  she tried to put her hand on his thigh. but he quickly removed it away.

I just sat there and listened to her bring up there past memories and him agreeing to them. Throughout the movie.

Justin and I never uttered a word to each since "Rebecca" arrived, and honestly it didn't even feel like a date anymore

"You okay" Demi leaned over to ask

"I'm fine" I answered her without looking at her

before you knew the movie ended and we quickly got up to leave when we were stopped by "Rebecca"

"So here's my phone, we should hangout sometime" she said hugging him. pulling away she stalked over to and bumped my shoulder before mumbling a "He's mine" in my ear which caused my laugh.

I exchanged hugs and goodbyes to everyone before exiting the building.

walking towards the car door Justin pulled it out from nowhere. he closed it before making his way to his side.

approaching a red light Justin stopped the car. while a pregnant silence filled the atmosphere

"So, um, who was that" I asked breaking the ice first

"My ex-girlfriend" He looked at me quickly before returning his focus to the road "she was never like that though" he shrugged" I guess High school changes you"

sure does

I Nodded and faced the window the entire ride
