Summer break is the one time during the year that students get to relax and not worry about homework or exams.
Most people get to go and see their friends during break but I never do. Unfortunatly my parents didn't like the idea of me spending time with other witches and wizards because they believed that magic was dangerous. So every year they sent me too a summer camp that I would stay at for the majority of the summer. I used to not mind but over the years it meant that I missed out on tons of fun with the marauders.
This summer however would be different. I told my parents that break started two days later than it actually did. this meant that I had a whole weekend with the marauders.

I had always known that James was rich but until today I hadn't known just how rich he truly was.
James house was two stories tall, made of rough red brick covered in vines. His yard was easily two acres, and it was filled with the most magnificent plants imaginable.
There were hundreds of different kinds of flowers and even more herbs useful for potion making.
as impressive as the outside was it was incomparable to the inside which was filled almost any item you could ever need.
with mahogany floors and maroon walls, and bookshelves spanning from the floor to the ceiling. I felt like I was in heaven.
"Hey Ma, Pa, we're home!" James yelled as loud as possible before dropping his trunk on the ground with a thud.
Sirius and Remus followed suit, dropping their trunks onto the ground as if someone was going to grab them for them later.
Since I had never been in this house before it felt rude to do the same thing so I, struggled but managed to, carry my trunk all the way to my room.
I got my own room because I was the only girl. pretty sweet huh.
"you know Albert could have done that for you right?" James chuckled as I finally caught my breath.
"I didn't, but either way I am capable of doing it myself" I sighed. Honestly it felt rather rude to expect someone else to do the work for me.
"Yeah but its literally Alberts job to carry people stuff to their rooms" Sirius smiled, obviously also coming from money (which yes I was completely aware of).
I flopped onto my bed and groaned. "like I said, I'm capable so I might as well do it myself".
"hey, how about we play hide and seek. It would be a great way for Y/N to learn her way around the house Sirius suggested to James trying to prevent an argument fueled by our different social classes.
"great idea pads, ill seek first since..... I just want to. alright first things first nobody can go outside or in the basement" James began.
"fuck, I had a great place to hide outside" remus sighed.
"too bad babe" Sirius smiled, leaning over to give remus a kiss.
"second, nobody can share the same spot. I mostly say this so you guys don't snog in a corner again" James says, moving his finger between Sirius and remus.
"ugh, no fair" Sirius moans.
"well those are the rules. no complaining or else I will only give you fifteen seconds to hide" James laughs before turning back to me." and for you, just don't break anything"
with a scoff I reply " you really should be telling that to them"
"true" James smiled.
"alright I'm goin to count down from forty. forty.....thirty-nine.....thirty-eight.....thirty-seven" James began counting and the rest of us ran out of my room and began looking for somewhere to hide.
