Lexi a B isn't good enough I expect you to get an A, my mother shouts. Try better and stop being a disappointment to me, I should be able to brag about how good of a child you are but you aren't, you're useless and worthless, lord I should've gotten an abortion, she shouts at me. I'm sorry, I say barely above a whisper starting to cry. Go to your room you're not eating tonight, she yells at me. I'm laying on my stomach with my head in my pillow crying when my door barges open. I quickly turn around to see Jason undoing his belt. Ready for your punishment sweet heart, he says getting closer and closer.

My eyes shot open. It was just a flashback Lucy, just a flashback breath, I kept telling myself. I was breathing heavy and I was sweating. I got out of bed and went into the living room to the couch. I sat there deep in though with my legs to my chest. Everything he did to me came flooding back at once. Before I knew it my nails were digging into my skin but I was lost and though and I couldn't control it. I couldn't even feel my nails digging through my skin that's how bad I was lost in my thoughts.

Angela's POV
I was moving my hand around the bed to find Lucy but her spot was empty. I open my eyes to see she's not there. I sit up and start thinking  she's with Jayden but after the interaction with Jason yesterday I wouldn't be so sure. I walk out into the living room to see Lucy zoned out but she had blood on her hands and arms. I rush over to her to see her digging in her skin. I grab her hands and put them in mine. Luce, I try calling her put it doesn't work. Lucy, I try again but she's still zoned out. Baby what happened, I say turning her chin turn towards me so she can see me. Huh, she says quietly. Baby what happened, I repeat softly. He called me Lexi, only my mom called me that, she chokes out while crying. She starts breathing heavily, she's having a panic attack. Baby breath with me okay, I say but it didn't work. I layed her head on my chest and let her listen to my breathing. After she had calmed down I cleaned and bandage her arms and layed her down to try and get some sleep.

Lucy fell into a heavily depressed state for almost 2 months. Everyone was worried about her mainly Jayden and Angela because they've seen her everyday, she barely talked, ate, or even got out of bed. It wasn't until Angela got hurt at work which made Lucy realize she could have lost Angela. Lucy's mental health was slowing getting better with the help or Angela and Jayden and her friends to support her on the side. She started eating again and exercised regularly to get back into shape for work. She returned to work 3 months later better than she had been in a while. Over time Lucy learned to let people in and let them help you if you're struggling because just as much as you're struggling they're struggling seeing you go through your worst. Lucy is forever grateful for her friends and family that helped pull her out of her dark whole. Angela and Lucy adopted Jayden together and they even adopted a little girl named Emma. Their relationship with their kids and even their self is as strong as it's ever been.
