Author's POV

The sangeet ceremony followed after the Mehendi ceremony. Everyone danced their heart out on the beats of dholak. Due to the back to back ceremonies, everyone got and tired and deep slumber consumed them as soon as their body touched the mattress.

In a few hour, the sun rose. The sunlight woke Drishti up. Opening her eyes, she got up and sat on the bed. Today was their Haldi ceremony. She was still processing the fact that tonight was their wedding and soon she will be married to the soon to be King of Chittor.

Everyone got ready and reached the hall where the ceremony will take place. Soon the place was filled with people. Drishti was getting bored when her sisters approach her.

"Why do you look so gloomy?" Anvi asked.

"I'm bored Anvi" Drishti replied nonchalantly.

"Bored or missing our brother in law?" Ritwika bumped her shoulder against Drishti's and recieved a glare im return.

"Stop teasing her" Parthavi said.

"Ah you're so boring, Parthavi didi" Anvi sighed and said.

"Anvi!" Drishti said in a cold voice.

"Sorry"

"It's okay, I didn't mind. After all you're my little sister and I know you are a little dumb" Parthavi said.

"Haww!" Anvi said in shock and pouted.

"Aww" Ritwika hugged Anvi and pecked her cheek.

"When will they start the ceremony?" Anvi asked.

"Ahh now I'm getting bored" Ritwika said.

"Now you understand my feelings?" Drishti said.

Ritwika nodded and pouted.

"Maa, when will we apply haldi to didi?" Parthavi asked as soon as she saw her mother coming towards them.

"We will start after the groom's side is done applying haldi. The haldi that will be used on Ayaansh, is the same one that will be applied on Drishti. The groom's side will bring it to us after they are done and only then we can start the ceremony." Their mother explained it to them.

"If the haldi is same, then why can we not do the ceremony together? As in at the same place?" Parthavi asked hoping to get a glance of Ayaansh. She knows it is wrong to feel like this. He is getting married to her elder sister and will be her brother in law but she cannot help it.

"No, the ceremony cannot be done at the same place as the groom and bride cannot see each other before the wedding."

"But they can use the same haldi?" Anvi frowned.

"Anvi.. It's a ritual. It is not invented by me! It's a ritual that our ancestors had followed and we should respect it." Anvi nodded in understanding.

"It's okay, atleast there won't be that monkey to disturb me!" Anvi said.

"Hello everyone! We are here with the haldii" Ivan said loudly as he entered the hall.
