@MeDePeel Thanks for always being so quick to give a star and a comment. I Absolutely love your story "The Bride". All of Rebecca's snarkiness and Ms. Manners and Mr. Loud/Walter. If you haven't read it... I suggest you do. You will be angry, then laugh, then cry, then laugh some more, be angry again, cry a good long jag, and so on and so forth.
Part 209 - Saturday December 21st
Sang's POV
When we stepped out of Mr. Blackbourne's house, Silas had his hand on my bare back. His hand so big and warm, I could feel his fingers were slipped into the side of my dress. But I think that has more to do with the size of his hands rather than him trying to put his hands inside my dress.
It was cold out, but I didn't want to ruin the look of the dress, so I had refused to wear a coat. Besides, we would be in a car or a restaurant or a concert hall the whole night. And with the way my boys were always holding me so close, I knew they would share enough body heat with me.
My eyes widened as I saw a huge stretched Hummer Limo waiting out front. My mouth hanging open, I turned to Mr. Blackbourne in question. "All of us wanted to ride with you, and this solved our problem." He simply stated, knowing what I was trying to ask him.
As we drove to the restaurant, Sean had me curled up in his lap sideways, my legs were on Victor's lap as he played a piano piece on my shins that only he could hear, and Owen was at my back, his hand lightly grazing up and down my spine. Tingles were radiating throughout my body from their touches alone.
We pulled up to the restaurant and I was in awe. Never in my life have I felt like I could or ever would go to a restaurant of this caliber. The name on the sign says "Circa 1886". Sean quickly explained as everyone was getting out of the limo, "This is a carriage house that was renovated into a restaurant. Over there is the original Southern mansion." It was simply breathtaking.
I knew that the guys are always prepared, but it still surprises me every time when the hostess greets them by name. "Mr. Blackbourne, your table is ready. Right this way please."
We all followed behind her in a line and I noticed that she made a few quick glances over her shoulder at Owen, since he was the first right behind her. But none of the boys seemed to even register the woman guiding us to our table. She was in a black, very fitted, v-neck, sleeveless sheath dress that hit just above her knees. Her brown hair was pulled up into a tight perfect bun on top of her head. Her nails had a French manicure, her make-up, flawless. As I glanced at each of the boys I realized I'm the only one that has noticed this woman other than her seating us. I feel so silly, assessing her as if she were my competition.
After being seated, with Nathan and Kota sitting on either side of me, two waiters came to our table and began filling everyone's glasses with water. Then they handed out everyone's menu's, beginning with me. We sat at a long rectangular table. Owen and Sean sat at both ends. Starting at Owen and going clockwise, we sat Owen, Luke, Silas, Victor, Gabriel, Sean, North, Kota, me, and Nathan.
As I looked at the menu I saw it had appetizers, main course and desserts. Kota leaned over and whispered, "you need to pick all three courses when the waiter asks for your order." I looked at him with wide eyes.
I whispered back, "I'm not that hungry." He just smiled. Looking over the menu I decided and told the waiter that was waiting for my order, "I'll have the Heirloom Tomato Salad, the Rainbow Trout and the Mexican Vanilla Crème Brûlée, please." I gave him a small smile. He returned my smile, his eyes lighting up like no one ever smiles at him when he is waiting tables. I thought I heard a small growl sound coming from across the table but I would never expect Luke, Silas, Victor or Gabriel to growl at anyone, especially someone just doing their job.
Nathan ordered next, "I'll have the Escargot Kebab, The South East Family Farm Pork Chop, and the Mexican Vanilla Crème Brûlée." He looked at me and I gave him a knowing look. He turned back to the waiter, "please." The waiter cracked a smile before schooling his facial expression again. Nathan looked back at me and I beamed at him for using his manners. He reached over and took my hand in his, placing our joined hands on his lap.
Owen was next with his order, "I would like the Smoked Salmon and Turnip Flan, the Cast Iron Lamb Loin, and the Flourless Chocolate Chambord Cake...please." He gave me a small millimeter smile. I winked at him in return.
The other waiter had been taking orders for Sean, Gabriel and Victor, so I don't know if they were using their proper manners saying please and thank you, but I noticed their waiter made quick eye contact with my waiter and they both looked like they were fighting grins.
My waiter went back to Kota and he ordered with precision. "First I would like the Baby Iceberg Salad, followed by the Chicken Fried Halibut, and lastly the Flourless Chocolate Chambord Cake, please." The waiter nodded with a smile and Kota returned a, "Thank you." Before handing him his menu. He then slipped his hand onto my knee under the table.
North was the last to order from our waiter. "I'll have the Heirloom Tomato Salad, the "Corned Beef" Braised Short Ribs, and if you have fresh fruit, that's what I would prefer for dessert, please."
He waiter smirked, "I'm sure we can find some fruit for you sir."
"Thank you." North returned.
From across the table Gabriel mumbled, "only you North. Fu- I mean come on, it is one nice dinner. Can't you let loose?"
Sean chuckled, "Nice catch on the language Gabe, but if North wants fruit, that is fine for him to have fruit. As you said, this is a nice dinner and we don't need arguing."
We had casual conversations while we waited for the appetizers, which didn't talk more than five minutes. It appeared the Victor, Silas and Nathan all got the Escargot Kebab and I made a 'YUCK' face at that.
"Oh come on Peanut, don't you want to try just one? It's only a little snail." Then he laughed as I appeared to turn slightly green at his comment.
Luke spoke up from across the table, "Ignore him Forever. He just wishes, now that he has seen my food, that he had ordered the Chicken Crêpe." Then with a sing-song voice he sang, "he wants to be, he wants to be like Luke."
I enjoyed the appetizer. There were thinly sliced Heirloom Tomatoes and radishes with black eyed peas and feta cheese sprinkled on top. There was some garlic and chive garnishing as well. The flavors together made my mouth water, my eyes to close and a low moan to escape the back of my throat.
Silas said something in Greek and North grunted out an "I know."
Being bold I asked, "What do you know North?"
He dropped his fork onto his plate and fumbled for his napkin to wipe his mouth. Sean was getting a kick out of this, and pressed, "Do tell! Or should we be asking Silas to share, since he is the one to say it in a language only one other of us knows." The playful twinkle in Sean's eyes had Gabriel, Luke and Nathan agreeing that Silas or North needs to repeat what they said in English.
Silas sat a little taller, "Aggele, I said 'Damn, we can't take her anywhere without her causing us physical discomfort'." I just looked at him, a little hurt at the words he spoke. He saw my face and quickly amended, "I mean those little moans you make when you eat foods you really like, those sounds cause our pants to get a little too constrictive."
I looked at them with wide eyes, I didn't know I was always making little moaning noises or that I was affecting them in anyway when I did make those noises. I was just showing how pleased I was with the flavors of what I ate. I am not sure what look I had on my face but North blurted out, "fuck it! You're giving us all boners."
I blushed beet red and then burst out in peels of laughter. "Nice language North!" Luke chided. "I'm sorry Forever. Apparently my Baby brother doesn't know how to behave during a fine dining experience. I guess he is too much of a grease monkey."
North scowled at Luke and grumbled, "I'll get you later for that."
"Gentlemen! Can we please act like respectable people for just this evening? Once we are back at my home, you can use whatever slang about your genitalia as you like, but out in a public setting... Zip it!"
Then completely out of character, Victor offered, "just in case you were unclear, and your mind was still on your erection, Mr. B is telling you to zip your lip, not your pants."
