The Wheel of Wow
Part 214 - Saturday December 21st
Flashback. (Third person)
"Sean, where are you?" Owen called into Sean's condo from the living room, frustrated he is not ready, as usual. They had a few things to do today and Owen was not being very patient.
"I'm up here in the guest room! Get in here! I can't seem to make this thing work!"
Owen walked casually up the stairs, knowing his friend could make anything work, if he only put his mind to it. Owen leaned against the doorframe, "what exactly is the problem Sean?"
Sean sat hunched over a table, then slamming his hands down hard, he threw himself back in his chair, "THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!! Why do women find this so entertaining? This is pissing me off!" Sean ran his hands through his hair repeatedly in frustration.
Owen stepped up behind him, placing a calming hand on his friends shoulder, "We are highly intelligent men. I'm sure we can figure this out together. Now," Owen sat in a chair next to Sean, "what exactly are we doing?"
"I got these collars for the dog and cat and I wanted to bedazzle names on them. Since you said Sang found them when you were at the park watching "Sleepless in Seattle", I thought they should be named after the character's Sam and Annie. But the BLASTED jewels are not sticking to anything but ME!" Sean lifted his arm and showed the jewels stuck to the inside of his sleeve, up to his elbow. His shirt was ruined.
Owen quietly chuckled at his best friend. Seriously, how hard could it be? It's not like it is rocket science or anything! Most of the women that are into bedazzling aren't necessarily highly educated women.
Twenty minutes later... Owen threw the special tweezers, made specifically for bedazzling, across the room and stood up in a huff. "Why would you pick such a ludicrous gift in the first place, Sean? I'm done! You can figure this... This... STUFF out on your own later." Owen was flabbergasted. He had almost cussed because of this asinine craft! Owen looked down in disgust. His favorite red tie was garbage now. It had random jewels bedazzled on it like constellations in the sky.
Sang's POV (Present day)
***Everything in the game was simply by chance.***
Would they think this gift was inadequate, now that their gifts had been given? Each of them put so much thought into their gift, and I made one gift for all nine of them. What was I thinking?!
The guys drew numbers for what order they get to go. The order would be Gabriel, Nathan, Owen, Luke, North, Kota, Victor, Sean and finally Silas. My Greek God was not upset he was going last. He just claimed, "Notice how she saved the best for last?" Someone threw a couch throw pillow at his head.
I set the gift down on the coffee table in the middle of the living room. "Each of you have to take a hold of one of the ribbons and pull at the same time to open the gift." They all grabbed one of the ribbons and I counted them down, "In 3, 2, 1, open!" Each boy pulled their ribbon and the wrapping paper peeled away, revealing the game...
"The Wheel of Wow?" Victor read the title.
"FUCK YES!" Gabriel shouted.
"Are you shitting me?" Nathan asked, "we get to spin this wheel?" He was already reading what he could land on.
