Welcome to New York City, New York. My home town. Skyscrapers as far as the eyes can see, and large ships sailing by now and again with trading goods. My name is Jenson Peter Brooks, and I am just your average American guy. And yes, I do own a gun. Anyways, welcome to New York City; it's been a bit tough here recently with rent prices going up; lucky for me, I bought my house before these times hit. I work overtime here and there to make some last-minute catchups on my bills and earn some money to treat myself from time to time. Other than that, life's pretty okay. But the one thing I love the most is Ace Combat. The incredible lore in the game, the different missions, and the aircraft and super weapons sell it for me. But my favorite has to be Alicorn, an absolutely genius piece of engineering. Others choose the arsenal bird or the Arkbird, but Alicorn sticks to me. It's interesting concept and design is what drew me to it. I especially loved Captain Torres's personality and his voice lines in the fight. Although, I do wonder why he didn't just dive below the waves to avoid incoming missile strikes? Ah well. Currently, I am walking up from the subway and I decide to walk home instead of taking the cab. It's a beautiful evening after all. As I walk though, I hear gunshots, not uncommon since crime rates have risen up in this city, especially amidst all the current chaos. But what I didn't expect was to figure out that I had practically walked into the middle of a gang war. Bullets flying in every direction as two gangs fight tooth and nail over this "turf" as they call it. I dive behind a a dumpster to take cover from the shots, just like they do in the movies, but this is no movie. The bullet just flies straight through the empty dumpster and through my left lung. I begin to cough up blood. 'So this is how I die, huh?' I chuckle 'A fitting end for a nobody like me.' I then close my eyes and faint from blood loss, the sounds of gunfire growing fainter with each second.

I awake on a sandy beach overlooking a vast ocean. 'Where am I? Wasn't I just bleeding to death in an alley?' I get up and look around, there are a few palms here and there with some greenery, but it's mostly sand and sea. 'If this is what the after life looks like, then I guess I'll enjoy it.' I sit down on the beach to enjoy the sensation of it. That's when I hear... 'Wingbeats?' I think to myself, 'What could possibly be large enough to make a sound like tha-' A sudden thump in the sand answers my question as I turn around, and before me is a rainbow-colored Dragoness. I have to admit, she's quite pretty, though I can't remember liking dragons well before the incident, anyway. Then, she spoke. "Hello there, little mortal, do you like the meeting place I set up for you?" I am taken aback by her speaking to me, "Uh, yeah. I guess."

She smiles, "Good! I wanted to have a little chat with you for a bit." I sit back and look up at her. "I'm going to cut this short. My name is Draconia, and I do know you, Jenson Peter Brooks; in fact, I've been watching you for some time now, and I must say that you are quite an interesting little one. But what I see you like fascinates me even more how you mortals even dream up such contraptions and even make them a reality. I have chosen you to assist in the war efforts in Pyhrria. I will reincarnate you into that world." I then put my hand up to my chin, 'Pyhrria? Where have I heard that name before?' "Um, Draconia, what will I be reincarnated as?" I ask her, "Well, I would like to keep that a surprise. By the way, I read that thought about you calling me pretty, thank you for that." I only stagger in surprise, she can read thoughts, oh wait, 'She's a goddess dummy of course she can.'

"Well, I best send you on your way, can't have you wait forever after all." Oh, that's a shame I guess, I wonder if I'll see her around soon? "Don't worry, I can promise to visit you, but when I do it, is up to me." I guess that'll be a surprise too, just like my new body.

I feel myself growing tired, finding it harder and harder to keep my eyes open. "Go to sleep, you shall awaken in your new form." With that, I drift off to sleep.
