Well I Sure Wasn't Expecting That

She hesitated to say the name.

Finally she had the courage to say it.

"A-And this years prom queen is . . . . C-Camille Ross !"

I was shocked.

Everyone started clapping for me and Bridgit gave me a little bump to go up on stage.

I walked a little slowly as I headed towards the crown.

When they put it on my head I still couldnt believe it. Then I went and sat on one of the throwns.

Did I just win prom queen ? I asked myself

"Congragulations" she said clapping for me.

"Okay now its time to announce our prom king. And this years prom king is . . . . .  Mason Rocks"

Oh great. My king is the one who broke my heart for the first time. Lucky me.

He walked up on stage and they put the crown on him. Then he came and sat next to me.

"Okay now its time for the king and queen dance."

Wait what ?

All the students cleared the center and thhen Mason went down to the center .

I hesitated to get up but I had to so I walked to the center also.

"May I have this dance?" he asked holding out his hand.

I unwillingly took it into mines and we started rocking back and forth.

People took pictures while we were dancing which was weird but it took my mind off the pain I was experincing.

"So are you surprised that you won ?" he asked trying to start conversation

"Yeah. Really surprised."

"I could tell by your facial expression when your name was called "

"Mhm" I said not paying attention anymore.

When the song was over we broke apart and I ran to Nick but I was pulled away by the class president so that Mason and I could take a picture.

He stood close by me and we smiled.

"That was a really cute picture" she said after taking it

"Thanks" I said. Then I walked away and went back to Nick.

"Hello my highness." he chuckled lightly

I giggled

Then Bridgit came up to me.

"Congragulations Cami. I knew you would win."

I looked at her confused. "You did ?"

"Well your a very pretty girl so of course you would win."

"Well thank you" I said smiling at her.

She smiled back and then walked off.

Then Nick grabbed me by my waist and we started dancing.

While we were dancing he leaned in we kissed.

I liked the way we kissed.

It was so random and unexpected like us.

When we pulled away I had a big smile on my face but it wasnt as big compared to Nick's.

We danced to a few more songs and then prom was over.

Before we left, we all took a group picture.

This was the best night ever and i would never forget it.

Then we got in the limo and drove somewhere.

I didnt know where we were going but then i realized we were at Bridgits house.

There was a big party going on.

We drove to the front of the house and then went in.

It was the after party.

Bridgit,Madison, and I went to  go change our dresses into shorter ones so that we could party much more easily.

"Whoa !" Mason said looking at Bridgit from head to toe."You look HOT !"

'Why thank you' she said smiling at him.

All the other guys complimented us also.

Now it was time to dance.

                                                                    2:00 a.m

                                                                     3:00 a.m

                                                                 

                                                                      4:00 a.m

Four thirty five a.m was when everyone left..

I passed out on the couch in Nick's arms.

When I woke up my feet couldnt move.

They hurt too much from all that dancing

I tried my best to get up and walked to the bathroom to pee.

When I got back in the living room. Mason was awake.

We talked for a while and then everyone else finally woke up.

I decided then that I would take a shower so I ran up to Bridgit's bathroom and took a quick shower.

When I was done I combed my hair and tied it up in a high bun.

Then I changed into my plain orange fuzzy pj pants and my white Abercombie sweater.

It was kind of cooled in Bridgits house.

I ran back downstairs and breakfast was ready.

Everyone was eatting and there was a empty seat with a plate of food sitting there.

I went and sat down.

"Whoa ! Yesterday was CRAZY !" Aden said before putting some scrambled eggs in his mouth.

"Mhm" we all chorused in agreement.

We talked more about last night.

At about 12:30 everyone left and stayed behind because I lived 5 houses down from hers.

I helped her clean the mess from the party and then we decidded to watch a movie because we werent in the mood to go anywhere.

We watched about 3 horror movies and 5 comdey's.

When it was 8:45 I left her house and walked home.

"Hey mom" I said as I walked through the door.

"How was prom?" She asked eagerly

"Well it was fun and I won prom queen."

"Seriously ? Show me the crown."

I took it out of my bag and showed her.

"Aw Im so proud  of you."

"Thanks mom. Well I've had a very busy night and day so Im heading to sleep. Goodnight."

"Goodnight.'

I ran up to my room and layed on my bed.

Insantly I fell asleep.
