nicha began working at miyeon's office, not telling her the true reason why. she said she wanted to spend more time with miyeon and at the same time, wanted to try out a normal non-mafia related job. miyeon didn't really question it.

the ceo of miyeon's company knew about nicha's mafia business, so he was more of intimidated by nicha, and let her do her thing.

two weeks has passed since that arrangement started, and miyeon began staying with nicha. nicha tried her best to stay away from the mafia business for now since she was afraid that her enemies would come after miyeon. bambam was mostly in charge of the mafia business now nicha was so busy with her other job and miyeon.

nicha's father was extremely upset about nicha's decision. he tried all ways to coax nicha back to the job since he believed bambam to be too weak to take over as mafia head. he tried hard, soft methods, but nicha didn't budge. all she told him was that she wanted a change of environment, and not the fact it was because of miyeon.

it was the day of the volunteer work soyeon had mentioned, and miyeon was freaking out on what to wear. miyeon was great at choosing other people's clothes, but in her case, she was really indecisive. for nicha, she wore a minnie mouse shirt chosen by her.

she was deciding between shorts with a cropped sunshine colored top, or a long denim jeans with an oversized tee. she decided to go with the latter, wearing a cute mario oversized tee.

when miyeon and nicha arrived, they were slightly late, and was greeted by the enthusiastic wave of soyeon.

"we were waiting! the children are too! they're so excited, and you turned up late?" soyeon chided, playfully hitting miyeon. "you must have overslept again or something!"

miyeon was going to protest, but soyeon and yuqi were already walking out of the door to go to interact with the children there. shuhua excited followed suit, dragging soojin with her. miyeon and nicha both exchanged glances, giggling a little, as they too went to go talk to the kids.

the six of them got them to sit down in neat rows, before introducing themselves. the kids there were from 3-6 years old, and they were little balls of sunshines. their eyes lit with excitement and they looked ever so enthusiastic.

"heyy! you can call me woogie! i love puppies!" yuqi exclaimed, matching the kid's energy, as the kids had an overwhelming response, also talking about their love for puppies.

"hi! i'm shuhua, and i love wolves. they go awoooooo!" the way shuhua mimicked the sound of the wokves made the kids howl with laughter.

the introductions went on for awhile, and it was finally time for them to split into groups. everyone fought over soojin, all pulling one part of her body. they were confident to let the kids have fun and make them laugh, but the girl's were not so confident in being able to take care of them. since soojin was the motherly figure, they would be more confident with her around.

"aish! jinjja! play rock paper scissors! i can't tell if you're the helpers or the kids!" soojin snapped in annoyance, earning a pout from the girls.

in the end, miyeon went with soyeon, shuhua went with minnie, and yuqi went with soojin.

miyeon walked over to her group of 7 children, who were seated in one little circle. there were two empty spaces opposite each other, which miyeon assumed to be for her and soyeon.

she took a seat in the empty spot, giving a warm smile to the kids. "heyy kids, can you please tell me your names?" the kids all started fighting to reply, and soyeon had to calm all of them down. "let's go in a circle okay? starting from you!" soyeon gave the flustered miyeon a wink, while pointing to the boy seated beside miyeon, who started sharing about his name, age and hobby.

the introductions were nearing to the end, with just one little girl left. she was petite, and had a sofia the first necklace on. she also had two neatly tied pigtails, and was hugging onto a rabbit toy.

"what's your name sweetie?" miyeon asked, bending down to try to make eye contact with the little girl. she didn't break eye contact with her toy, continuing flailing the bunny's hands.

"miyeon unnie! she's naeun. she's the maknae, so she's a bit shy..." a boy two spots away from soyeon said, as soyeon and miyeon nodded understandingly.

miyeon just patted naeun's head, whispering a little, "nice to meet you naeunnie."

soyeon had brought over board games, card games and loads of storybooks. the kids were all fuzzing over monopoly, telling soyeon and miyeon excitedly that monopoly was the talk of the town, but they only had one set, which the older kids often played with.

since there were not enough tokens for all of them, miyeon told them to team up in pairs. since there were only 7 people, naeun was left out.

"naeun, join unnies okay?" soyeon asked, gently holding her hand, guiding her to walk over to where miyeon was. naeun simply stared blankly at her toy, following suit, before taking a spot in between miyeon and soyeon.

"i got mayfair soyeon unnie! yes!" this boy named chawoo exclaimed in delight, showing soyeon the chance card that read "proceed to mayfair". all the other children cheered for him, while soyeon pouted in response, laying down on miyeon, covering her face in sadness.

well she wasn't really sad, but she wanted the kids to feel happier over their victory over her. she had been talking about how excited she was for getting to mayfair first.

"soyeon unnie, is miyeon unnie your girlfriend? why are you laying down on her lap?" another girl named sakura asked, which made miyeon and soyeon burst out in laughter. "aniyo! my girlfriend would be mad if she heard you. miyeon unnie and i are just good friends!" soyeon's eyes darted over to yuqi, who was stomping around, as she snuggled herself into miyeon's lap.

the kids "ahh"ed in response, as the game resumed.

the game ended with this pair of girls, joori and soomin winning, as lunch time arrived too.

"let's go for lunch everybody!" soyeon exclaimed, hurrying the kids into the cafeteria.

miyeon smiled at the sight, ready to go, when she felt something clutching on to her jeans. she looked down to see naeun hugging onto her legs, as she couldn't help but "aw" at the cute sight.

"what's wrong naeunni? do you need something?" naeun didn't respond, just throwing her tiny arms over miyeon's neck, clinging onto her like a koala.

miyeon was taken aback. usually, she was the clingy one, so now that someone was clinging on to her, she didn't really know how to react. she just hugged naeun back, stroking her back a little.

"you.. princess." naeun's cute voice nearly made miyeon coo, hearing the compliment made her really happy too.

"you also look like a pretty little princess naeunni! will you let unnie bring you princess to lunch?" naeun nodded, and carrying naeun in her arms, miyeon brought the younger girl for food, glad naeun finally opened up.
