The atmosphere was very tense, to the point that it could be cutted with a knife. A few minutes ago, Tatsumi was missing, and when he had just returned, he brought the second most powerful warrior in the Empire with him.

The revolutionary assassins stared in shock at the Ignis wielder, who seemed uncomfortable in the situation she found herself in. The dragons in the room remained in defensive positions, not trusting the blue and orange haired woman.

Tatsumi swallows hard. He already knew it would be a difficult task, but knowing in advance didn't make it any easier.

Najenda is the first to express any words, clenching her fists.

Najenda: What are you doing here, Atsuko? — She questions her ex-friend, barely contained anger in her voice.

Atsuko: Hey, no need to be nervous! — She says, trying to appease, but she was sure that Najenda thought she was being sarcastic — Let's just... talk! Chat, like old times! Exchange ideas and solve problems, like good friends!

Najenda: Friends?!  — The silver-haired woman screams, slamming her mechanical fist on the armchair. She finally seemed to have lost her patience — It was thanks to you and your sister that I lost an arm and an eye!!!

Atsuko: Hey! Nee-chan did this, not me! You remember very well that I was just trying to help you! — She says, trying to remind her old friend that she wasn't to blame on that fateful day.

Trying to lighten the mood, she looks nervously around the meeting room.

Atsuko: Hmm... Nice little place you have here, huh?

Najenda: Tatsumi... — She hisses, staring at the brunette. Her single eye was enough to express her anger — ...What is this woman doing here?

Tatsumi: W-Well... Remember when I said that I could maybe convince Atsuko to join the Revolutionary Army? — He asks, before gesturing to Kalan's daughter with a nervous smile — Well... surprise...! I think...

Najenda: You've got to be kidding... —Eryx's pilot murmurs, thinking it was all a crazy dream — Did you really... convince her to change sides?!

Tatsumi: Yes, when Lubbock and I were exploring the mountains in search of danger beasts, Atsuko saw me when I was alone with Indra and we met by chance. Then some weirdo appeared out of nowhere and used an unknown Imperial Arm to teleport us to a desert island in the southeast. We were stuck on the island for half a day, and during that time Atsuko and I talked a lot. We faced a Skrill that in the end turned out to not be a threat, we killed modified danger beasts, we talked about some possibilities and conditions for it to collaborate with the Revolutionary Army and, well... the rest is history.

Atsuko: Well, surprise...!! — She says, nervously.

The assassins didn't even know how to react yet. Leone and Mine frowned, clearly not finding the general's presence very pleasant. Lubbock scratched the back of his head, not knowing what to say. Susanoo was rubbing his chin with his thumb, looking thoughtful, Akame was surprised and Chelsea was leaning against the wall, and she didn't seem very happy with the situation either.
