"So this is Cybertron?" Renegade asked, walking out and looking around as their ship landed.
Tall buildings rose up at the edge of the landing pad and glistened in the lights all around them. Every now and then, jets flew over them, leaving streams of white clouds behind them.
"Yup. It's been a while since I've been here," Cosmos said, looking up at the tall buildings, "It's surprising how quickly most of these have gone up considering how recent the war was. You wouldn't have thought that not even a decade ago most of them were in ruins and uninhabitable."
"Indeed," Mainframe said with a small grimace, "Just like before the war. It seems like nothing has changed and I don't say that in a good way."
"Which is all the more reason as to why we need to get moving," Soundwave said, walking out behind them and down the ramp. He had Laserbeak and Ravage tucked away in his chassis and a long brown cloak with a hood draped over his helm and shoulders. Black Shadow came out behind him with a similar dress, the fins on his helm causing the fabric to stick up.
"What's that for?" Cosmos asked, picking up a corner and looking at it, "We're going underground aren't we?"
"We're not exactly wecom' here or there," Black Shadow muttered, crossing his arms and looking around, "Forma cons' like ourselves stand out even in places like tha'. We risk gettin' arrested and taken tah prison."
"And it's just until we get somewhere sheltered," Soundwave said as Skids ran down the ramp and joined them.
The others were staying on the ship and working on the engines. Some like Brainstorm and Jetfire would have been easily recognized and drawn attention to themselves which would cause more problems considering the fact most of them were considered criminals who would not easily be excused from their 'war crimes'.
"Now, I have his address but it's still pretty far from here," Mainframe said, taking out a small data pad that easily fit into his palm with something written on it, "So I would suggest getting down to the rails and using those. You two just keep your helms low."
They nodded and started walking, crowding around the two former Decepticons as they followed Mainframe to an escalator at the edge of the platform that took them below the surface. Here, many of the planet's industrial districts were located. The streets were grimy and most of the scarce lamp posts were dim and flickering but most of the lights came from the bright shop signs.
"At leas' we don' have to worry much aboot lichtin' here," Skids muttered, looking up at the big flashing signs above them that were blinding to look at.
Renegade tightened her grip on Soundwave's arm to keep herself from falling over, her world becoming disorientated with all the colors merging in her vision and throwing off her balance.
She felt his servo rest on her back, in between her wings to help support her as they took a turn into a station on a platform that led to a large train on rails that perched high above more streets many stories below.
The small group quickly boarded and found a dull corner, trying to draw attention away from themselves for now. It wasn't easy, their bright paint standing out from what seemed to be the normal dull colors of everyone else.
Black Shadow pulled his hood down whenever gazes looked his way, the mech knowing the reputation he'd built for himself in the war which was now coming back to bite him.
"We get off the next stop," Mainframe said back to them softly, "We've got watchers."
The others nodded discreetly, all now seeing the two dark grey mechs with weapons that weren't properly concealed from view that were staring at them, swaying ominously with the movement of the train.
