There was a... situation.

It turns out Libby's ex-boyfriend, Drake, had leaked their location to the press. Paparazzi had swarmed the hotel. Avery and Libby were on their way here now.

Jameson, being Jameson, sent Avery a message, saying,

Hey, Mystery Girl. You're officially famous.

Don't ask how I know that.

I've decided to be the bigger person and completely ignore what happened earlier today.

Anyways, about the situation, if Drake's criminal record somehow gets leaked, I had nothing to do with it.

Shouldn't Avery be here by now?

I checked the cameras.

Avery was looking at a bunch of keys.

Grayson's not going to be happy that Jameson gave her those.

It'll be fun to watch.

I remembered my time with the keys.

Grandfather brought out a ring full of keys, probably a few hundred.

"One of these opens the door. Figure it out." He said.

To be clear, I did not want to be here. I hadn't slept in 53 hours, but really, who's counting?  I'd been scouring everything, trying to find who the heck that was. See, a few days ago, I saw this boy with cool daggers. We ended up fighting, and we tied. I wanted a rematch, and he disappeared. Not cool.

Uh oh. The coffee was wearing off. I knew this wasn't healthy, but who cares?

He handed over the keys, then went over to a bench to watch.

Let's get this over with.

I was too tired to deal with anything fancy, so I just held them and stared.

Cool, the lock end repeats.

I lazily sorted through the keys until I found one that was different. Yawning, I held it up.

"It's this one, can I go now?"

Grandfather raised his eyebrows.

"How do you know?" He inquired.

"It's different. Now can I go?" I was close to a breakthrough, I could feel it, if I could just GO BACK TO MY ROOM.

"You may. Your time was forty two seconds."

I gave him a thumbs up and left.

I beat everyone.

Avery seemed to start noticing the ends of the keys. A minute or so later, she got it.

Slower than me, but quicker than the others.

Nice.

I decided it was time to go out of my room. Enough sulking.

"Hey Nash." I said, falling into step with him.

"Hey Lili." He greeted.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"To greet Avery. And hope that Alisa isn't with her."

"Alisa isn't bad." I defended.

"She's my ex." Nash deadpanned. Ok, that's fair.

We walked through the door, walking in behind Alisa, Avery, Libby, and the Laughlins.
