So-

Maybe I was wrong.

Eh, no I wasn't.

I said martinis.

I never said anything about beers.

...

Don't worry, I'm not drunk.

That would be so irresponsible.

I'm just-

slightly tipsy.

Yeah.

I shook my head, trying to clear the fog from my brain. Grayson. I should find Grayson.

He'd probably be in the private room.

Theo suddenly materialized next to me, using his arm to support me.

"Woah there. Where're you going?" Theo said.

I could stand perfectly well by myself, but I decided to let him help.

"The private room." My speech was still crisp. Great. All I'd need to clear my mind was some cold water.

Hopefully.

I led Theo to the elevator, missing the button a few times before I finally succeeded.

"Up we go!" I giggled. Huh. Maybe I am a tiny bit drunk.

Theo simply shook his head. "I knew I should have payed more attention."

I pushed him away from me, leaning on the big mirror.

Damn, I looked drunk.

The elevator slowly came to a stop, giving a soft ding as the doors opened.

"Toby is alive."

Avery had spoken, facing Grayson.

Great first words to hear. Thanks Avery.

"Pardon me?" Grayson asked, his eyes focused on her.

Seriously?

Guess I'm just invisible now, like a ghost.

BOOOOOOO.

Ok, maybe more than a tiny bit drunk.

I stumbled out the elevator, Theo rushing after me.

"Toby's alive!" I did my best impression of Henry Frankenstein, making them both stare at me in shock. "He's alive, he's alive!"

Avery openly stared, her mouth open in shock.

Suddenly, I tripped. Stupid floor, getting in my business.

Grayson rushed forward, managing to catch me right before I hit the floor.

Yay.

"How drunk are you?" He masked his concern.

I stared at him.

He stared back.

"How mad are you?"

I know, I know. Quite a witty response. I should get a prize.

Ok, I need to sober up now.

"Lilith, how much did you drink?" Avery sounded incredulous. She's never seen me drunk before. I don't usually get drunk though. Just a little tipsy.

I simply smiled.

"Now that we have determined that my irresponsible twin is currently intoxicated, can we circle back to the fact that Toby is alive?"

Oh, he's pretending to not know.

Don't say it.

"Your uncle is alive and gets his jollies by pretending to be a homeless man in New Castle, Connecticut."
