You rolled your eyes, not wanting to hear anything from him, especially knowing where his head was on the situation. Your mind was clear on the decision, even if it pained you to say goodbye...Though you were grateful to bump into Simon during that matter and how he assisted you in transporting the goat. You would've had no idea how to handle D back there if you were alone.

An annoyed groan left your mouth as you glared up at him, implying that he say what he must with your stare.

"I-I don't know where to begin..." He rubbed the back of his neck appearing nervous.

"Please make it quick. Daylight is burning."

"Ever since I left this morning my mind has been racing about what you've said..."

Your ears perk up and begin to listen more closely.

"To put it bluntly...yes, I want to leave the Sanctuary with you."

A pause of silence filled the room before you spoke. "Are you serious? Did something happen? Why have you changed your mind so suddenly?" You question not seeming sure if he was telling the truth.

"Yes, I am serious. I know it wasn't a lot of time to think, but I would much rather be with you...more than anything!" It warmed your heart to hear this. You've waited months for this moment. It gave you the biggest relief that you don't have to do the hardest thing and leave Simon behind. It felt like a huge burden being lifted from your soul. You ran up and hugged him tightly as he leaned down to kiss you in the embrace. He could tell by your body language that you were overjoyed with his conclusion. "What's the next step?" He asked after pulling away.

"I was thinking about packing and just getting the hell out today."

"Are you sure?" He walked over and moved a curtain that was attached to a nearby window. "There isn't much time left in the day."

"Damn, you're right...Well, we could pack everything tonight and sneak out before sunrise?"

"I like that plan."

"I can't believe this is happening! I am so happy you chose to escape with me!"

"Bahhh!" Vincent bellowed.

"He seems enthusiastic too!"

"Yes! And I am so excited we can take him with us!"

Hours went by of gathering supplies and packing bags. The sun was setting below the horizon. The only thing left to do was assemble food, which had to be done much later in the night when the other Saviors were asleep. Vincent was curled into a corner with his hay, napping. Any mess he made was immediately cleaned up. Waiting was the only thing left at this point. After packing, Simon laid down in bed and you joined him, cuddling up to his side. "Can I be honest with you?" You asked Simon.

His attention was transfixed on you as he peered down in your direction with soft eyes. "Of course."

You repositioned your body to lay more comfortably and face him. "I've wanted to leave The Sanctuary since the day I woke up here."

"The day you met me? That's a shame." It sounded like a hint of sarcasm.

"I honestly wasn't that fond of you when we first met."

"Yeah, I tend to have that effect on people."

You laughed a little. "Although you're the one who changed me. You made me want to stay here longer."

"Really?"

"Yes, I don't know exactly what it was but it was like we've gotten so close overtime and I didn't want to leave you here. Especially with how Negan treats everyone, including his right-hand man."
