Episode 22

I held my head between my hands feeling frustrated after hearing them. I made his words true. I was the one, I'm the one god. It's me who made her life more difficult and worse making his words true. Looking at me like this Rudresh asked "Jiju you didn't even know anything?" I shook my head still controlling myself.

I removed that lonely tear from my face saying "No, she didn't tell this to anyone." Hearing that Rishikesh said "Jiju are you taking care of her? I prayed every day till now for her happy family, for her happiness. I went to temple daily just to make his words false and I think it worked." He said with smile.

I shook my head looking down I said "No, your prayers failed and her father's curse became real for her." hearing that the tears he was holding started pouring looking at me asking "You also did the same with her?" I shook my head saying "Maybe worse than this. I wasn't able to love her, I told her before marriage thousand of times that I love someone else and break this marriage because my parents were forcing me."

Hearing that he looked at me with disappointment but I continued "She just told me that she can't do that and then our marriage happened. I told her clearly that I won't be able to love her. From the start till now we never talked like a couple, we didn't even look at each other. We are like roommate, she does her work and I do mine. Few weeks ago, the woman whom I loved came back in our life as Ryan's mother-in-law and that time I got to know she cheated on me before my marriage itself and I was staying loyal for a woman who cheated on me."

Hearing me he asked me "Then Neharika? She knows all this? How she-she even saw all of this. Why her fate is also like her mother." I looked down and he said looking at me "I just found Neharika's mother's fate was better than her." Hearing him I looked at him confusingly not just me but everyone.

He said so bitterly "She at least died better than looking her husband with another woman but Neharika's fate is bad in that also." Hearing that I shook my head saying "Nooo, I just wasn't able to love her but when that woman came in our life. I felt something was not right, I couldn't see that woman on Neharika's place. There was something that was bothering me and that time I got to know about her step mother, I was shocked. I tried to ask her how many times only I know but she refused me always."

"Then I came here to know about her. I want to give us a try, I know it's late but it's better than nothing in life right? It's not only her but I also wasted my youth on a woman who cheated on me. She was in pain so was I, I always felt guilty towards her and after knowing her past I just want to kill myself for behaving like this with her."

Hearing me they nodded and Rishikesh said "She doesn't know anything about her father's did, she knows what others know and I'm begging you that don't tell her anything. She will blame herself more for her mother's death, she will think that her life is just like her mother. They both faced same things in life." I nodded saying "I won't let her know anything, this secret is going to die with me."

They nodded and Rudransh asked me "How is Ryan?" I looked at him confused wondering how he knows about him. He said "I know because his photos were in newspaper with you jiju." I nodded with smile saying "He got married and soon will become a father."

They smiled and Rishikesh's wife asked "Who is Ryan?" I said looking at her "My only son." she nodded and Rudresh asked "Did you also use her like her father for your own deeds? For your son?"

I looked at him and shook my head "I asked her permission for everything where I needed as her husband, I never used her. I gave her all the respect and place as my wife needs but I was not able to give her love. In all these years I tried a lot of time but failed badly thinking about that woman whom I loved. After seeing her all happy with someone else I was happy more than jealous."
