It was break time a short time later. In silence, Senku and I made our way to the courtyard where Taiju and Yuzuriha were already sitting, they seemed to be talking about something or other. I could see a slight blush on Yuzuriha's cheeks and Taiju looked nervous as well... I was beginning to think that we might have to go away for a while.

"Should we let them be?" I said as I turned my eyes back to Senku.

He shrugged his shoulders with a frown, "Probably, but we have plans. If they want to flirt, they can do it in their own time." He picked up his pace and walked towards them as if he wasn't in the way. I didn't really have a choice, so I shook my head and followed him.

They both looked up as we approached, Yuzuriha looked away and tried to cover her embarrassment as I smiled to myself. I was happy for them, it was something that I could only dream of being able to feel. I sat down on her right and whispered something to her. It made her blush even more before she punched me in the arm. I laughed at her reaction and turned my head to Taiju, who was giving Senku a hard time while being completely ignored by him.

I was lucky to have all of them, I thought to myself. Why was I suddenly so sentimental? I shook it off and turned to the others.

"Hey, Yuzu... we were thinking of doing something for your birthday tomorrow. We thought to hang out near the park in town"

Senku's expression was unimpressed by my lie, but he played along anyway.

"Yeah, nothing too crazy, but it's your day after all. If you feel like it."

She smiled but shook her head: "I was thinking of something similar, but I wanted to go to that dessert shop that me and y/n always go to, please. If it's not too much trouble".

A bead of sweat ran down my forehead. We can't go to two dessert shops. But when Yuzuriha decided, she couldn't back down.

Taijus head knotted in frustration, he also thought while Senku looked calm and said, "We could go another time, but maybe we should try something else tomorrow. Maybe..."

"A MOVIE!!!" Taiju shouted, his voice echoing through the courtyard. A few heads turned in our direction, he looked surprised and then laughed nervously. "Oh, my bad."

"Yes, your bad. You make it sound like you're shouting through a loudspeaker. Keep it down, will you?" Senku pinched his nose in frustration, his head visibly spinning from the impact of Taijus' voice, considering that he was sitting right next to him.

Yuzuriha thought deeply before her eyes brightened, "You're right! Trying new things is essential! Let's watch a film!.."

I grinned at Taiju, he was always a good persuader. Senku huffed and moved towards me.

"You've got data, haven't you? We should look for the films being shown tomorrow."

I nodded and opened my phone, searching the cinema and pressing the link. I scrolled through a couple of films and frowned at them.

"There are mostly horror films on, and a couple of animated films for kids. So it's out of the question.

"Are you afraid of horror movies?" Senku raised an eyebrow and looked at me, a hint of amusement in his gaze.

I was at a loss for words and quickly got on the defensive, "No! Not at all, just...maybe the others don't want to watch one..."

"I don't have a problem with that," Taiju's face brightened.

"I'll watch a horror film, it'll be a change of pace for me," Yuzuriha said with a smile.

My heart was in my mouth, I was afraid of horror films. But I couldn't say that, otherwise I would have ruined Yuzuriha's day and all our plans.
