Spencer's Apartment

While recalling the game with Jordan, Troy, Fred, and Asher, Spencer relaxed on his couch.

Troy: That game was intense. Spencer, you did your thing, man.

Spencer: (laughs) I always do.

Jordan: Does your shoulder still hurt?

Spencer: No, it is better. (he smiles as he remembers his meeting with Olivia after the game)

Jordan: You should still get it checked tomorrow. Just to be safe.

Spencer: Sure, I will do that.

The door bell rings...Fred opens

Fred: Hi Layla.

Layla: Is Spencer in?(she forces her way inside with anger) Spencer, I need to talk to you in private.

Troy: Well guys, time to go to our rooms.

Fred, Asher and Troy stood up and left....

Jordan: Hey Layla, are you okay?

Layla: Not now please?(she eyes him).

Jordan: Okay! Spencer, goodnight.

Spencer: Goodnight bro

Jordan left for his room.

Spencer: What was that about? What is with the attitude? And why are you here this late?

Layla: Why am I here, really? Do i need permission to come to your place?

Spencer: Clearly, yes.

Layla: Spencer, what is your problem? See, I can tolerate you engaging with other ladies in school, but where I draw the line is with my sister.

Spencer: Wait, wait, wait. What do you mean?

Layla: Don't even try to deny it. Cause I saw her with you this evening. She is flirting and trying to seduce you, and you are allowing her to do just that by entertaining her.

Spencer: (laughs) Are you even listening to yourself? You have a problem with me being friends with Olivia, but you don't mind with other ladies?

Layla: Yes, Cause what is she looking for at the locker room?

Spencer: Her dad works there.

Layla: Then why is she rubbing your shoulder?

Spencer: (looks in confusion) She was helping me massage it. I had a minor discomfort there.

Layla: (laughs) You must think I am a fool. When did Olivia join the medical team?

Spencer: Why am I even answering you? Layla, I have told you time and time again that I am not interested in a relationship. I am not in a relationship with you. I am single and I am allowed to mingle.

I am tired of this back and forth between us. Layla, it is time you find someone who would love you the way you deserve and let me be.

Layla: But I don't want to find another person. We agreed that we would keep building whatever we have until we finish college, then we make it official.

Spencer: (he raised his voice) I didn't agree to anything. You made that decision yourself. I won't make a lady wait for me, especially if we don't have the same understanding. I am not selfish.

Layla: But I want to wait Spencer. I love what we have and I believe in our future together. (Tears begin to flow)

Spencer:(he takes a deep breathe) Please don't wait, Layla
