𝖶𝖠𝖱𝖭𝖨𝖭𝖦𝖲: 𝗅𝗂𝗍𝗍𝗅𝖾 𝖺𝗇𝗀𝗌𝗍𝗒, 𝖿𝗅𝗎𝖿𝖿

it was the worst day to get my period.

i'd woken up with a sinking feeling that tiday was going to be that day, not a good feeling.

when i got to the training facility, i could already hear emma's voice, yelling out instructions to everyone she could find.

i walked in to find most of the team there, including jessie. the first thing i did was drop my bag and walk into her outstretched arms. she could tell that today wasn't a good day for me.

we started training drills and nothing was going right for me.

i couldn't get on the end of passes.

i couldn't pass in the right directions.

i couldn't shoot goals.

every time the ball went awry i had to mentally brace myself to hear emma's verbal assault.

all i wanted to do for the next hour and a half was go home, curl into a ball and sleep. when that time finally came, jessie drive us both to my apartment.

she was the first one into the apartment, quickly ducking down to the bathroom. when she came back, she told me to go have a bath and get changed into something more comfortable. i didn't know what she was planning but i didn't question it and followed her directions.

when i came back to the living room, i found jessie in the kitchen cooking us both some food.

"aw jess. you didn't have to do that."

"you were having a bad day, princess. 'course i gotta make you feel better."

her words made me melt, i walked up behind her and gave her a hug. she finished cooking and brought the two plates out to the living room. we both sat on the couch and ate together, watching whatever reality tv show was on at the time.

for the rest of the evening it was just the two of us, sitting together, watching the tv and laughing together.

jessie eventually moved so that she was laying on the couch with me cuddled into her side. she had her fingernails raking up and down my back.

it was so soothing that i could feel my eyelids start to droop and the waves of tiredness take over my body.

"goodnight, princess."

that was the last thing i heard as jessie lulled me to sleep.
