The family that she finally deserved

Bella POV//
We arrived at their house shortly after they found me in the park. It was your normal St Albans house, very similar to my old house. To be honest i couldn't quite believe it England and Arsenal legends Leah Williamson and Alessia Russo, had brought me back to their house to spend the night. I knew at some point I would have to tell them whats going on or at least share a bit about everything.
"You okay Bella?" Alessia asked me as we waited for Leah to open the door
"Yes thank you"
"Right here we are" Leah said opening the door and holding it whilst I walked in
I didn't know how to feel, there was a sense of joy, fear and sadness. The joy coming from not having to sleep outside and the fact I am with Leah and Alessia, the fear coming from knowing at some point I will be back with Adam and Claire or back at the children's home and not knowing what to expect when I am back and sadness from the warmth this environment gave me already, for some reason it reminded me so much of my home. The one with my mum and dad.
Leah shut the door and I felt a flood of emotion come to me and I began to cry, I turned around and gave them both a big hug
"Why don't we go down and sit over in the living room and have a little chat?" Leah asked
"Okay" I mumbled and began to take off my shoes

We headed over to the living room Alessia sat next to me whilst Leah sat on the sofa next to us. I was pleased Alessia sat with me as it made it feel less like an interview
"Were not going to force you to say anything we promise" Leah said whilst look at Alessia
"We just want to understand about your situation a bit more to help you in the best way we can" Alessia added
"Okay"
"Firstly would you like anything to eat or drink"
"May I please have a glass of water"
"Of course" Alessia said grabbing a glass from the kitchen and bringing it out to me
"Okay remember only answer what your comfortable answering" Leah reassured me
"Mhm" i nodded
"Okay, how long have you been sleeping in the park?" Leah asked me
"Tonight would have been my second night"
"What made you go there" Alessia asked
"A fight"
"With who?"
"Adam" I whispered, i was terrified to tell anyone anything, i couldn't believe i was even telling them
"What happened"
"I got suspended from school and he had to pick me up and asked what the hell was wrong with me, well shouted really, and then i said something like there were shit teachers and he called me spoilt and i said we get rid of me or something and he then told me to get out so I did"
"Oh hunny, I am so sorry" Alessia said wrapping her arm around me
"How did you get involved with Adam and who is the other person?"
"Claire. My mum died around 8 months ago. Cancer. My dad loved my mum and couldn't live with out her so two weeks later killed him self, I went into care and got placed with a foster family, they were great but after a month didn't have time for me. Back to the children's home and then Adam and Claire came and got me, it was a great first two months with weekly visits from my care worker who then said it was a safe environment and then everything changed." I took a deep breath
"You doing so well Bella" Leah said
"He would come home drunk most nights and yell and hit and punch and some other things" i was back in tears now "and she was called me names, call me fat and yell just as much as him, but she never lay and hand on me, they took everything from me, i was only allowed to go to school. No football nothing, hence why i quit the academy, and i can't go back there, please don't make me go back there" i said shaking and crying now
Leah had got up from her sofa and sat next to me they were both hugging me tightly
"Bella, we are so proud of you for telling us everything, we won't make you go back we promise" Alessia said
"And now i am being a burden on you, and what are you going to do with me tomorrow I can't go to school, I am suspended cause all the teachers hate me, because ever since everything happened i have become a failure and disruptive and now you have to deal with me tonight and i am sorry" i said still crying
"Hey!" Leah said slightly firmer that what i think she meant to "you are not a burden, you are not a failure, we don't care if you stayed with us the whole week, if you never went to school again, our main priority right now is that you are safe and we will do everything in our power to sort something out"
"Ok" i said shyly
"Why don't we take you to bed, its been a long day and we can talk more in the morning" Alessia said
"Okay, thank you again"
We headed up the stairs and stopped at the top of the stairs
"The bathroom is just ahead of you, and to the left is our room, you come in and get us if you need anything, absolutely anything okay?" Alessia asked
"Okay"
"And here is the room you will be staying in" Leah said as she opened the door
It was a fairly large room to what I was used to, with a double bed, with white and grey bed sheets
"I grab you some pyjamas and a towel and face towel, if you want a shower or anything and in the draws in the bathroom will be any spare toiletries you will need" Leah said, whilst Alessia walked over to the night stand and turned on the bed side light
"You promise you will come to us if you need anything?" Alessia asked
"I will"
"Okay, well feel free to shower or anything, do you have a phone or anything that needs charging?"
"No, Adam took it off me"
"Ill go grab our ipad and you can't have that, it has netflix and everything so feel free to use it"
"Okay thank you"
Leah walked in later with pyjamas and a towel
"Here you go, they will probably be a little big but they will do"
"Thank you so much"
"Of course no worries, see you in the morning come to us if you need anything"
"Thank you"
