Am I seeing things, or am I really looking at Jungkook standing on his feet? He can stand. I mean, just a minute ago, he was sitting in that wheelchair, looking all helpless.
That means, all the time, he was lying. These thoughts kept swirling in my mind, creating such a mess that I didn’t even notice him stepping closer, far away from the thing called personal space, until I felt his warm breath brushing against my forehead.
Startled by, I snapped out of my thoughts, slowly looking up at him. My eyes widened when I realized how close he was standing, so close that I could almost feel his heartbeat.
Panic set in, and I instinctively tried to step back. I had to put some distance between us, because the last thing I wanted was for him to twist this situation and accuse me of something ridiculous as he always does.
But before I could move, his hand wrapped firmly around my waist, yanking me closer to him. I gasped as our faces ended up inches apart that If he leaned in just a bit more, our lips would almost touch..., Wait!! What am I even thinking?!
"Jung... Jungkook" I stuttered out his name, my voice barely more than a whisper. My hands instinctively pressed against his chest, desperately trying to push him away.
"Let go of me" I demanded, but my voice was shaky, the fear coursing through me. I was worried if, someone might see us like this, and no doubt they’d blame me, even though it’s not my fault.
Jungkook didn’t budge instead, his smirk increased more, as he tightened his grip around my waist, pulling me even closer. And,he bent down, his lips almost brushing dangerously close to my ear.
My body froze. "What... what are you doing, Jungkook?" I managed to ask, still struggling to push him away from me.
His breath was hot against my skin as he whispered slowly, sending shivers down my spine, "You know, you came here all on your own. You even locked the door yourself. And now... if I ki..."
He stopped, leaving the word hanging in the air. My heart raced wildly. Was he really about to say "kiss"? No, wait... "Kill”? My mind was reeling, and my body was tensed.
His lips again, brushed my ear as he finished in a cold, almost mocking tone, "...if I kill you right here, no one would ever know, right? I don’t think anyone would even care enough to search for you, hmm?"
As he completed his sentence, he suddenly pushed me away with such a force that I stumbled back, barely managing to keep my balance.
My chest heaved with a mixture of fear and anger as I steadied myself. How dare he treat me like this. I glared at him, ready to shout, but before I could utter a single word, his sharp and menacing voice cut through the tense air.
"Don’t you dare scream" he warned me, his eyes flashing with a dangerous glint. “Because if you do, I just might follow through with my threat, and you already know that no one here likes you anyway, right?”
He tilted his head, a cruel smirk playing on his lips. His words stung, each one laced with the venom of truth. It’s true I’m not welcome here, and he knows it. But hearing him say it out loud, in such a twisted way felt like a knife twisting in my chest.
Tears welled up at the corners of my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of seeing me crying and break. Instead I stood there, fists clenched at my sides.
