Sunny stood at the edge of the grand ballroom, her gaze swept over the luxury-looking space that was slowly coming to life. Her assistant stood beside her to ensure the woman had everything she needed.
The room was a blend of modern elegance and traditional charm, with intricate chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling and rich tapestries lining the walls.
Her focus was disrupted when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey," Tengku Hassanal kissed her cheeks.
"You're back," Sunny smiled widely upon seeing her husband.
"I wouldn't missed tonight," he replied as he held her hands firmly with a smile.
Sunny grinned, "How was London?"
"Would've been better with you around," he replied as the two of them walked towards a table.
Sunny and Tengku Hassanal sat together and continued talking. Tengku Hassanal has been in London for the past two weeks for a work matter. So everything about their royal duties was passed to Sunny to handle. Which she did, brilliantly.
Tonight is the pinnacle of her dual life: a charity gala that would bridge Sunny's popstar world with her royal duties.
The gala was Sunny's idea—a way to showcase the harmony between her two worlds and raise funds for a cause dear to her heart. The Sunny Foundation—a foundation founded by her to raise awareness for breast cancer. Something that she dealt with.
It was a noble cause, but the pressure to make it a success was immense. In the days leading up to the event, Sunny had been juggling rehearsals for her performances with the intricate planning of the gala. Her days were a whirlwind of practices, costume fittings, and royal meetings. However, despite the chaos, she remained determined to make the event memorable.
"You look so pretty," said Tengku Hassanal as he looked at her.
Sunny chuckled, "Shut up."
"Why? It's a fact," he replied, kissing her hands.

Before Sunny could reply, her assistant came and informed her about the guests who were arriving.
"I should go first," said Sunny.
"You go on," Tengku Hassanal smiled as he helped Sunny to stand.

Sunny continued to welcome the guests who were quickly arriving.
The ballroom was a mix of high-profile guests, including pop stars, royal dignitaries, and philanthropists. The chatter and laughter grew louder, creating a buzz of excitement that echoed through the grand space.
Sunny made her way through the crowd, greeting guests with her trademark smile and for some, even a hug. She was very pleased that all her invitees could come for the night.
When the clock strikes 7:30 pm, the gala night starts.
The night started with an opening speech from Sunny herself, the organizer and host of the fundraiser gala night.
"I would like to invite the host of tonight's gala night, The Queen of Pahang, Her Majesty," said the emcee before applause filled the ballroom. Tengku Hassanal helped Sunny up and made sure she reached the stage safely.
"Thank you," Sunny grinned and whispered to him when she reached the stage. Tengku Hassanal winked at her before getting back to his seat.
She walked to the podium and smiled as she opened her piece of letter that contained her speech.
"Ladies and Gentlemen,"
"Good evening."
"Tonight, we gather not just in the spirit of celebration, but with a sense of purpose. We come together as a community united by a common—to support and uplift those who are bravely fighting breast cancer and to advance research that brings us closer to a cure."
"I personally have went through a terrible breast cancer journey but I am grateful that I am free of cancer. But breast cancer touches lives in ways that are deeply personal and impactful."
"Tonight, as we enjoy the beauty of this evening, let us take a moment to honor the fighters, the survivors and loved ones who have been affected by this disease. Every donation made tonight, raised tonight, represents more than just a financial contribution. It symbolizes hope—the hope for innovative treatments, the hope for groundbreaking research, and the hope for a world where breast cancer no longer casts its shadow over our lives."
"Your presence here tonight is a beacon of hope. It signifies that together, we are stronger. Together, we can drive change. Together, we can make a difference."
"Let us fill this evening with not just hope but action. Let us pledge our support and commit ourselves to this important cause. Your generosity can light the way to a brighter future, where breast cancer is no longer a battle we face, but a challenge we have overcome."
"Thank you for your unwavering support, your compassion, and your dedication. Together, let us continue to strive for a world where every person has the chance to live a life free from the fear of breast cancer."
"Thank you, and let's make this evening truly memorable."
The ballroom was filled with loud applause as she ended her speech. She smiled and walked down the stage. Tengku Hassanal smiled while clapping for her.
"A very good speech," he says.
"As always," Sunny grinned and sat on her seat.
And so, the night continued with fancy dinners, performances, and auctions.

As the night drew to a close, Sunny looked around the ballroom filled with contented faces and the glow of success. The charity had raised a significant amount of funds.
Sunny sighed with relief and pride.
"Mommy!"
Sunny smiled widely when she saw her children running towards her.
"You guys didn't go back home yet?" Sunny asked while caressing her daughter's hair gently.
"Daddy says to wait for Mommy first," her youngest said.
Sunny chuckled.
"Your Majesty," said her assistant. Sunny turned to her.
"The ballroom's empty and most guests have left the premises. You can leave for home if you want now," her assistant said.
Just then, Tengku Hassanal and Sunny's family-in-law came out of the ballroom.
"I'm sorry I couldn't meet you all just now during the event," Sunny said to her parents-in-law.
"Not a problem, darling. I know how it is for you. To host this charity dinner. You'd have to entertain the guests who are donating the most," said her father.
Sunny smiled.
"We'll leave first, okay? We'll see you this weekend," said her mother.
"Alright. Good night and have a safe journey back home," Sunny said while kissing her mother and father-in-law. Tengku Hassanal and their children did the same, bidding goodbyes.
After their parents entered the elevator with their bodyguards, Tengku Hassanal and Sunny also took the elevator to the lobby and left the hotel.
In the car, Sunny talked with Tengku Hassanal about the success of the charity dinner.
"How about we go out for lunch tomorrow? After picking up the kids," said Tengku Hassanal as he glanced at their children who was already sleeping.
