Moving On

It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, I was free, I didn't have to pretend anymore. When I got back from the watchtower I started packing up my stuff. Dick was waiting for me when I got there, I had called earlier and asked him to help.
"So you broke up with Artemis?" Dick questioned.
I laughed a bit, "Actually I think she broke up with me." I explained.
"Huh, so are you gonna make a move on Archer?" He asked, a funny note in his voice.
I sighed, "I don't know yet, I care about her, so much, but I don't want her to be my rebound."
He nodded, "I get that, so are you guys just going to be friends then?" He asked me.
"I honestly don't know yet." I told him.
At that moment someone knocked on my door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"It's me." Archer said.
"Come in!"I called.
"Hey Wally, oh hi Dick." She said as she walked in. "So what's up?" She asked, eying the boxes.
"I'm moving." I informed her.
"What? Why?" She asked me.
I shrugged, "Artemis and I broke up." I explained.
Shock registered on her face, "Oh really? What happened?"
I shrugged again, "It was time, actually I think she broke up with me." I laughed again.
"Oh wow, so where are you moving?" She asked.
"That's a good question, uh, I actually hadn't gotten that far yet." I told her. Honestly I had just known I had to get out, where I was going hadn't yet occurred to me.
Archer looked thoughtful for a moment before she said hesitantly, "Well, I suppose you could live with me, I do have an extra room."
Should I? With the way I felt about her it probably wasn't a good idea, but what the hell, it wasn't like I had anywhere else to go.
"Okay."
