The poison seeps into me like a web, tightening around my heart, and I can feel it pulling me deeper. Each pulse of venom is a slow, addictive sting that leaves me breathless, caught in its grip. It's a trap I can't escape—yet I don't want to. The poison is relentless, but in its bite, there's a twisted satisfaction. It's as if the venom and I are intertwined, bound together in this deadly dance. I know it's consuming me, but the thought of breaking free feels just as suffocating as the poison itself

Hyunjin's POV:

I stood in front of Minho's door, the weight of the moment pressing down on me like a heavy shroud. My mind raced with a thousand thoughts, yet none of them offered any solace. The silence in the hallway was suffocating. I was waiting for the doctor to emerge, to give me some answers, to explain what had happened to him.

From behind me, I heard Chan's voice, sharp with urgency. "Hyunjin, what the hell happened to him?"

I didn't turn around. I couldn't. My gaze remained fixed on the door, as if staring at it hard enough would force it to open and bring me the news I so desperately needed. "He suddenly lost consciousness," I replied, my voice hollow, as if the reality of the situation hadn't fully sunk in. "I don't know what happened."

The rest of them were here too—Chan, Jeongin, Jisung, Felix, Changbin. They had all rushed over as soon as I called. I could feel their presence, their concern, but I couldn't bring myself to face them. Not yet.

Before Chan could press me further, the door creaked open, and the doctor stepped out into the hallway. His expression was grim, the kind of look that made the pit in my stomach twist tighter.

"Based on his symptoms—sudden loss of consciousness, unresponsiveness, and the way his nervous system seems to be shutting down—I strongly suspect he's been poisoned," the doctor said, his tone professional but edged with frustration. "However, this isn't like any toxin I've seen before. There are no visible signs of how it was administered, and none of the usual treatments are having an effect. Without knowing exactly what we're dealing with, it's almost impossible to counteract it. We need to find out what this substance is and how to neutralize it, or his condition could worsen—quickly."

His words hit me like a punch to the gut. Poisoned. The reality of it was like a cold slap across the face. I turned to Chan, my expression hardened with resolve. "Poison? Do we have a traitor among us?"

Chan's jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing with a mix of anger and determination. Without missing a beat, he spun on his heel and barked orders at the nearest guard. "Everyone, I want everyone, without exception, in the outer courtyard—now!"

His voice echoed through the corridor, leaving no room for disobedience. The guards immediately sprang into action, the weight of Chan's authority propelling them into motion.
