"This is the training room," Tony introduced with a proud smile. He opened his arms wide to show the vastness of the room. The floor was entirely made of rubber, making it slightly squishy, but still shock absorbent and incredibly versatile. Workout equipment was scattered everywhere from corner to corner while the rest of the space in the center of the room was used predominantly for sparring.
The ceiling was more than 15 feet high. One window occupied one of the four walls from floor to ceiling as daylight poured in. The wall directly opposite it held full length mirrors.
Raven and Bucky entered the room, slightly amazed at how luxurious it all looked. The equipment and design was modern and minimalistic, the main colour used was black. Raven was impressed, though she didn't show it.
"No surprises, I promise." Tony said to her. Then, she felt a sudden poke at her neck and wrist, which startled her. She glanced up at Tony in confusion and shock. "Okay, maybe one surprise. Those're just to monitor your heart rate, body temp, semantics." Tony had stuck small devices to her neck and wrist.
"Sorry sir, you can't go past this line," Tony said to Bucky as he pointed out a subtle red line demarcating the sparring area in the floor. Bucky stepped back, forced to keep away from the line.
"Alright, purple glow-stick. I'll be up there pressin' buttons. Just follow our instructions. You can do that, right?" Tony winked at her before he climbed the set of stairs to a small viewing room overlooking the area.
When he reached, Bruce's concerned look didn't go unnoticed by him.
"Attack the target, please." Bruce instructed. "How ever you'd like."
"What's going on here?" Natasha walked into the viewing room, arms crossed as she questioned the two scientists.
"Testing her out," Tony replied matter of factly.
"Testing who out? Tony- she's not your toy." Natasha noticed Raven down on the training mat.
"It won't work, Nat. I've tried talking him out of it." Bruce said, keeping his eyes on Raven.
A dummy appeared in front of her. She looked slightly bored as she shot a blast of purple energy in its direction, completely disintegrating it.
"Four hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Well, I'll say," Tony's eyes sparkled with intrigue as he eyed her movements. They sent her dummy after dummy, evaluating exactly everything she could do.
A few minutes into the process, Steve walked into the training room. He was looking for Bucky.
"Buck? Can I talk to you?" Steve asked politely.
"Can it wait?" Bucky retorted irritably. It wasn't intentional. He was just worried about what Tony was doing with Raven.
"What's wrong?" Steve said.
"Tony's experimenting with her powers. Says it's Banner's idea. I'm just keeping an eye on her, making sure it doesn't go too far," Bucky's eyes never left Raven.
"What the hell? She's not some test subject." Steve digressed.
"I know, but she agreed. Best I can do is watch," Bucky agreed.
"Right, we need to talk about your...arrangements staying at the tower. Fury's here for you too," Steve said.
Bucky hesitated, not wanting to leave her side. After a moment, he finally conceded. Sighing and nodding, he replied, "Fine."
The pair walked out of the room.

It had been nearly an hour since Raven's 'testing' started, and she was getting tired. Sweat beaded at her forehead, she was breathless. She wondered where Bucky went.
