Rebuilt Love

Part 36

Taylor's POV

" Morning" Leah cheered brightly at me as she opens her front door

" ugh" I huff but chuckle 

" someones grumpy this morning" she laughs as I walk into the house. 

" you know it's Monday right?" I ask with a chuckle. 

" you're such a ray of sunshine" she chuckles and I just roll my eyes. 

" so what room do you want done next?" I ask 

" uhm, you done the livingroom and the main bedroom, right?" she asked 

" I did" I say 

" uhm maybe the guest bedroom and then the office?" she says as more of a question

" sure" I nod. I stay and talk with Leah for a bit. It's Monday so Leah has the day off to recover after her game against City yesterday, so she will at at home relaxing. I get on with the work in the guest bedroom and let Leah do what ever she is doing.

It's around lunch time and I have done three of the four boxes and then Leah called me down tell me to eat some lunch, I don't know what it is with the Arsenal player being big feeders because Alessia is the same, I guess that they understand the importance of food and eating correctly. We eat and talk for a bit and then I head back up stairs. 

I build the last one of the room and then Leah comes up and helps arrange where she wants the furniture to be and then I head to the last room which is the office and I make a start.  Around 3pm Leah comes up and checks on me and I am on the floor laying on my back to screw a screw under the desk. 

" I don't understand how you done it all so quickly" I hear Leah say. I lean up from my elbows. 

" I mean it's quite easy once you get the hang of it" I say 

" I can't teach you" I tell her 

" no, I would be useless, I don't know the first thing about building these things, there's a reason I asked you" she chuckles. 

" oh come on, it's the last screw it's not gonna fall on us" I chuckle and offer her the screwdriver. Leah thinks about it of a second and then comes and lays next to me. 

" so just screw it clockwise to tighten it" I tell her

" lefty loosey, righty tighty, right?" she asked and chuckles 

" yeah" I laugh. 

I watch as Leah screws in the last screw. 

" I did it" she smiles proudly 

" oh, my god. Is there anything you cannot do" I ask in a pretend shocked voice. 

" shut up" she giggles and playfully hits me. I just laugh and there's a moment where we just stare at each other and then Leah leans forward and kisses me. At first I'm taken back by it but then I get into the rhythm of the kiss. Leah straddles me, nearly hitting her head on the desk in the process. We break to breath and Leah goes to kiss me again but I stop her. 

" Leah I can't" I tell her. Leah just stares at me for a minute and the she realised what's happened. 

" shit" she says in also a whisper and gets off me. 

" it's not that I don't find you attractive, it's just-"I begin to say and Leah cuts me off

" Less, still owns your heart" she says softly 

" yeah" I nod 

" it's okay" she smiles but I can tell it's fake. We just stay in silence for a bit 

"for what it's worth, you're a good kisser" I say to lighten the mood and Leah just looks at me and then just starts laughing. 

" you're such a dickhead" she laughs and I chuckle.

Me and Leah just lay on the floor and talk for a bit and then I leave her house. I realise now that I have finish with Leah I don't have any work lined up. I check the time and it's still early enough for the office to be open so I drive to the office. 

I enter the building and say hello to a few of the workers that are still here and I have a little catch up with Courtney as I haven't seen her in a while and then I head to the managers office. 

" what's up"I say with a bright smile 

" fucking hell. what do I owe this pleasure" April chuckles. 

" bishh I need more work" I chuckle and sit on the desk 

" you know there's a chair there, right?" she says 

" I know but I know how much it annoys you when I sit on the desk" I chuckle and April rolls her brown eyes at me. 

 " there's a school that Joe and Billy need help n" she says scrolling through her PC

" I'll take it" I tell her and start playing with some papers that are stacked on the desk 

" can you leave things alone" she says in a huff and I laugh at how easily annoyed she gets 

" I'm just looking" I chuckle

" just stick to the practical side of this job and leave the theory side to me okay, there's a reason why I am sat in the office and not you" she says 

" ouch, you calling me dumb" I chuckle and she just glares at me. 

" okay, I'm going. Send me the details of this school job" I tell her and as I leave I push a pile of papers that were stacked   off the desk and onto the floor. 

" why are you like this" she huffs in annoyance and I just shrug and leave. 

" good o see you back to full health" Joanne says from behind her computer, there's a moment where I think everyone knows about the road I went down. 

" Emma says that you had an accident at work and that's why you've been away" she clears the confusion up. 

" oh yeah, yeah I'm feeling a lot better" I smile 

" I can see" she chuckles and she looks in the office and I follow her stare and watch as April picks up the papers I push over, I chuckle cheekily and Joanne chuckles. I leave the office and I realise that Alessia hasn't spoken to me all day and that's unlike her, so I drive to her house.

I park outside her house and I notice her car isn't there, I get out and knock anyway but there was no answer. Huh, weird. Maybe she has taken Ella home as they did their podcast thing but as I go and leave I get an eerie feeling and I look at my keys and I still have Alessia's door key, maybe I should go in and just check. No, that's weird, I don't live here anymore I can't just walk in, I'm sure she's fine, she's always doing something. I get in my van drive home. 

I get home and shower and eat and then I go to bed. 

I get woken up by my phone ringing, it must be the middle of the night as everything is pitch black apart from the light coming from my phone, I look at the screen with tired eyes and see that it's a number I haven't got saved. I think about ignoring it but something told me to answer it so I did. 

" hello?" I answer sleepily 

" Tay-Taylor it's Luca" he says and there's something in his voice that I didn't like, I sit up 

" Luca, is everything okay?" I ask now fully awake. 

" he got her, Tay" he voice starts breaking. I don't know if it's my half asleep tired brain but I have no idea what he is going on about, 

" what do you mean he got her, who got who?" I ask

" Patrick, he got Alessia" he starts sobbing and my heart shatters
