"I think we should reschedule the gala. I haven't received any messages from Yoongi at all." Hoseok groaned in frustration, pacing back and forth. Seokjin sighed in defeat as he sank into Hoseok's sofa, staring up at the ceiling.

After making their way to the Min Family's mansion that morning, they were met with unexpected news from the butler.

The Min Family was already on their way to the Seo Family's place.

"Everything's a mess right now." Hoseok ran his fingers through his hair in irritation, "But I want to tell Mira in person. I doubt her family even told her anything."

"Then let's go to her right now." Seokjin insisted, sitting up straighter.

Hoseok nodded, agreeing with Seokjin's sense of urgency. Just as they were about to leave, the door suddenly burst open.

"Jimi—"

"I'm heading to the Kang Family's place. Coming?" Jimin's tone left no room for argument. He didn't wait for them to respond as he turned back, leaving Seokjin and Hoseok to quickly gather their belongings.

"Wait, what's going on?!" Seokjin shouted as he hurried after Jimin and Hoseok.

"I'll tell you on the way!"

"That suit really looks good on you." Yoongi shifted his attention from the mirror to his mother-in-law who slowly entered the room, her voice filled with forced warmth. Yoongi glanced at her briefly before turning away from the mirror, unwilling to face his reflection any longer.

The suit the Kang Family had chosen for him was perfectly tailored, all black, paired with expensive leather shoes. It was exactly the kind of suit that suited their luxurious taste.

But as much as he appreciated the elegance of black, the brown suit he had worn for his wedding with Mira had been far more meaningful.

And Mira.

If he could turn back him, he would hold on to the memory of her in that beautiful wedding dress as she walked down the aisle, her eyes filled with hope.

Yoongi closed his eyes, taking a long deep breath before walking away from the mirror. He couldn't bear to look at himself, dressed up for a wedding that felt like a betrayal.

"Where are you going?" Gayeong's mom raised an eyebrow in surprise as she watched him move toward the door.

"Taking this off."

"Oh? Don't you want Gayeong to see fir-"

"No." Yoongi cut her off as he continued toward the changing room.

"Yoongi, please."

Yoongi stopped in his tracks at the sound of Gayeong's mom calling him. He didn't turn around but he stood still, waiting for her to continue.

"I know there's a lot to take in," She sighed, moving closer to him, "But please, Gayeong's been looking forward to this for years."

Yoongi tensed up, feeling a hand gently rest on his shoulder. He slowly turned his head, just enough to catch a glimpse of her.

This was supposed to be the dream that he had always wanted— Marrying Gayeong.

But how could he look into her own mother's face and confess the truth? How could he admit that her daughter, the one she believed was destined to be his perfect wife, had spent years betraying him, ending up in another man's bed?

Yoongi was young and naive.

Every time he caught Gayeong in the act, she would break down, crying her heart out, swearing that it was a mistake. She would cling to him, repeating that she would always love him no matter what.

And Yoongi who was inexperienced in the way of love fell for it every single time.

He was so blinded by his devotion to her that he couldn't bring himself to look at anyone else.
Because despite everything, Gayeong remained by Yoongi's side. When Yoongi's business had financial problems, she helped him.

It made him indebted to her, as though he owed her something despite her flaws.

And that debt could only be repaid by fulfilling her deepest wish...

To marry her into the Min Family.

To make her his perfect wife.

But now, it seems that someone else had proven far more deserving of that title.

Even if he didn't believe that at first.

Yet the one who had shown herself to be the true partner he needed was on the brink of losing that title.

All because of one selfish woman, who had once been the love of his life, was about to destroy everything.

Just as Yoongi was about to walk away, the door creaked open and the butler stepped into the room.

"Mrs. Kang," the butler bowed respectfully, "There's someone here who needs to speak with the Kang Family."
