"HELLO, BEAUTIFUL," remus kisses his girlfriend.
"hi," she sighs contentedly, the two pull away, "will you help me revise, please?"
remus sighs, grabbing her bag, "let's go to the library."
"thank you!" she kisses his cheek, taking his hand as they walk. she groans, "i can't remember anything for defense."
"that's all right, we still have a week until we take the exam." he squeezes her hand gently, the two unaware of the stares on them as they walk through the corridors, "i'll help you."
they enter the library, remus holding the door open for the blonde girl, and make their way to a table near the back of the library. remus sets their stuff down on the table and grabs the book he'd been using to study off the shelf.
"what exactly are you struggling with?" remus asks, opening the book.
"all of it," elsie groans, pulling her work out. she pushes the paper in front of remus, whose sat across from her. remus looks down at the paper and feels his chest tighten and throat dry out. werewolves, he reads the top of the paper. "i know the basics for werewolves, but i'm still struggling a bit, and don't get me started on vampires," remus is aware of elsie speaking, but he can barely hear her over his pounding heart.
"ummm..." elsie looks at remus, confused at the boys reaction, "it's not that difficult. what don't you understand for werewolves?"
"what's myth and what's not," elsie sighs, "like can werewolves touch silver, or is that just a myth?"
"they can," remus tells her. "what other myths?"
elsie ponders for a moment before saying, "i don't think all werewolves are bad." remus looks at her like a deer caught in headlights, "like just because the only ones we hear about are bad doesn't mean all the other are, right?"
"i agree," remus musters up, "they're misunderstood."
elsie nods, "exactly. like there are bad people, but we don't judge all of the human race based on those few bad ones. why should we judge others based on their bad ones. do you think anyone at hogwarts is a werewolf?" remus pales, but elsie is looking at her paper. shaking her head, she says "probably not. i mean, where would they go during the full moon?"
elsie looks up at remus and notices his discomfort, "are you all right, remus?" remus only nods. "okay. i think i understand werewolves now. what about vampires?"
