"Fuck! I'm so excited!" Kana pumped her fists up and down in said excitement, thoroughly ready to see Valentine in person. She and the rest of her friend group were already in their seats within the dome, the tickets that her father snagged truly being worth the money spent since they were close to the stage, but far enough away that their necks weren't craning upward to try and see everything that was going on.
"Calm down, Kana," Jess laughed, slinging an arm around the other girl's shoulder. "Don't pass out on us already."
"Wha— already?"
"When things excite you, don't you pass out?" Amar asked, he and (Y/N) being the ones sitting down while the other two stood, his arms crossed. "Didn't that happen last year?"
"Yeah, but only once," she rolled her eyes, her gaze wandering back to the stage every now and then.
"Well, a concert is where everything is crazy, guys," (Y/N) added, suppressing a yawn that threatened to build up, not getting all the sleep she needed from last night catching up to her. "And even if Kana passes out, we'd wake her up immediately 'cause if we don't, she's likely to strangle us since then we'd have watched the concert without her."
"Yeah," Jess nodded.
"Probably," Amar shrugged, Kana glaring at his dismissive answer.
Just as she was about to retort their claims, something behind her made every single person in that stadium scream in exhilaration, she quickly whirling around and also having the same reaction when seeing the figure standing there. His light blue hair fluttered over the red mask he was wearing, the color close to a deep wine, complimenting his equally as red suit that he wore. A microphone was connected to his ear and snaked around his head to stop just in front of his mouth, everyone now able to hear the words that he spoke.
"Hello, everyone, are you ready!?" He called, his voice like velvet, yet able to enrapture everyone around him.
"YES!!" His fans—including Kana most enthusiastically—screamed.
As the man started singing, the strobe lights flashing, the back-up dancers moving in rhythm with the beat, the thrumming of the drums and guitars that galloped within, (Y/N) couldn't help the smile that crossed her lips.
She too stood.
She too jumped with Kana as they danced to the music, soon enough Amar and Jess joining them.
It was the most fun she had in a long time.
But then, the music relaxed.
"Hey, everyone, hey, everyone..." Valentine murmured into the earpiece, almost every girl exhaling dreamily at his soft spoken tone. "Let's bring it down for a bit, because I have something in store tonight for someone very special."
At that, Kana gasped.
"What does he mean by that?" Jess furrowed her eyebrows, a bit confused.
"You guys don't know!?" She whipped her head around to look each in the eye, groaning when realizing that this was their first Valentine concert, and she was the only one that had an idea of what was happening. "Every time Valentine comes into concert, he draws a ticket that has a seat number written on it. The person sitting in that seat then gets to go up on stage, and can ask for anything they want. Some have even got to see his face!" Her lips then scrunched into a pout as she added, "Though he turned away from the audience for that."
"Maybe you'll get lucky this time," (Y/N) laughed, hugging her friend in comfort and patting her on the back.
"If she does go up there, she'll be a stuttering mess," Amar chuckled, having sat back down since his legs had grown tired, staring up at Kana with amusement written across his expression. "Wouldn't you?"
"True... but I don't like that you pointed that out," she huffed, turning around to face the stage and squealing in excitement when two backstage hands wheeled out a cart full of tickets, the box containing them pitch black with only a gold crusted opening at the top. "Ah! It's happening!"
(Y/N) followed Kana's gaze.
Huh...
Sitting down beside Amar, she tuned her full attention towards the stage, watching as Valentine's gloved hand sifted through the box before finally pulling out a gleaming ticket.
"I see we have our winner!" He held up the ticket in delight.
Most everyone held their breath in anticipation to see who he picked, the concert tickets they had bought with their seat information clenched tightly in their hands. Flicking his eyes over the piece of paper, his eyes then scanned the crowd before landing on a certain spot right where (Y/N) was sitting, her eyes widening at the fact.
"Lucky number 313, ladies and gentlemen! Who could it be?"
"313..." (Y/N) muttered, pulling out her ticket that she had stuffed into her pocket and freezing when noticing the seat number.
It's... me?
"Oh, my God, (Y/N)!" Kana once more squealed, pulling her up and trying to push her to the front. "That's you!"
Her yelling drew the people around them's attention, they too shouting that the girl was the one who'd get to meet Valentine personally. The security guards stationed at almost every row took the ticket from her hand to see if it was accurate, and then beckoned her to follow them.
What the...
Man... I kinda wished I gave the ticket to Kana, she's actually a fan...
I've only heard about him from her...
And this is the first time at a concert and listening to his music!
I'm sorry...
Feeling bad that she had snatched away this moment from people that really liked this man and his music, she shook those thoughts away and stepped up toward the stage, facing Valentine and feeling a bit surprised when noticing just how much taller he was then her.
"Hello, dear," Valentine breathed out as he stepped closer, taking her hand in his and placing a kiss on it. "How may I be of service?"
