Tsunami hovered next to the egg, her tail wrapped protectively around it. She held a spear tightly in her talons, watching the statue cautiously. She had armor on, as Starflight instructed her to have, and she was preparing for an attack. Tsunami grumbled and tapped the statue's wing with the spear, still on her spot. "Doesn't seem like it will be moving any time soon.." she thought as she turned to the egg, her expression softening. "But don't worry, I will protect you."

She looked down at the armor and tapped it with a claw, then looked at the statue with slight fear. "Can this even protect me from a dragon of stone?" she wondered, lowering the spear to her side like the guards did. Tsunami frowned as she fiddled with her fins. She was scared that she would die and then her sister would die. She knew her friends would never forgive themselves if she died, like Phoenix said back up in the cave. She knew she had to be strong, besides she's the Seawing of the prophecy, so she has to live. Tsunami had fought against the Skywings and the fake Gill down in the arena, anyway.

The Seawing sighed and turned back to the statue, seeing no movement. "I mean, of course it won't move. It's a statue." she swam over to it, admiring the details on it from the gills to the fins. "I must admit. Orca does have amazing sculpting skills." Tsunami then moved back to the egg, sitting back on her haunches. "If she was here, I could've probably asked her to teach me to sculpt..." She then saw the statue move, and it did so in a way that it was now facing Tsunami. She gripped the spear tighter, ready to pierce it through the statue. It then opened its mouth with a low creak, and it lifted its talons to pounce to Tsunami and the egg. "Except that Orca enchanted this thing to attack the queen's heirs, which makes me a target as well."

Tsunami grabbed the egg and swam out of the way, in which the statue crashed into the pillar with the nest. She placed the egg back down on a nearby nest and pointed the spear at the statue, shoving it at the stone dragon as it tried to get closer to her and the egg. Only bits of stone were chipped, and the statue didn't back down. It grabbed the spear and pulled it away from Tsunami, throwing it aside. It then launched at her, knocking her back as it then slashed her neck, earning a muffled roar from her. "Sorry mother... guess I broke the no blood in the hatchery rule.. but that doesn't matter right now." She hissed and lunged away from it. The statue was quicker, and it pushed a talon on her chest and shoved her down to the ground. It then began to crush her chest, bending the armor and cracking her ribs.

Tsunami growled in pain, the pressure of the statue's talon making more blood come out of her wound. "You're not getting that egg! Not even over my dead body!" she reached for the statue's sapphire eyes and pulled them off, letting them fall down one of the heating vents. The statue got off her, and so once it did she quickly pulled the armor off to relieve the pressure and then grabbed the egg. "Have to get out! Need help!" she thought desperately and swam to the door to open it, but it wouldn't budge. It was locked. Panic rose within her as she banged her fist on the door. "STUPID DOOR! OPEN UP!!"

Another creak was heard, and Tsunami noticed the statue's stone tongue wiggling out of its mouth and moving around. "Is it... tasting me in the water? Dammit is that how it's trying to find me?" Tsunami put the egg down on a nest and went for the spear, shoving the tip into the statue's mouth, breaking the tongue off. It struggled to get to Tsunami, but she was quicker as she angled the handle so it was lodged into another vent.

The statue struggled, unable to get to Tsunami or the egg. She smiled for a moment, but then frowned at the breaking handle. "That can't hold on for much longer. I need to get my sister out of here..." Tsunami glared at the door with bared teeth. "But that damn door is locked! Someone must have done that so we would die!" Another crack was heard, this time it came from the egg. A crack formed on it, and quickly Tsunami swam to it. Eventually the shell broke open, and as the pieces of eggshell floated off a small newborn dragonet was revealed. She had emerald green scales and dark green eyes, which blinked curiously at Tsunami. "Oh... my little sister.." she smiled sweetly at the tiny Seawing, flashing a 'hello' to her while she put a tiny talon on her snout.

The moment would have been sweet if Tsunami wasn't reminded that there was an Animus enchanted statue trying to kill them both, and of course as she looked back the spear's handle snapped and the statue lunged right at the two princesses. Tsunami grabbed the bended armor and smacked the statue with it, breaking a horn, wing, and arm while also chipping the snout. Tsunami quickly backed away from the statue, her back landing on the door.

Just then the doors opened and she was swiftly pulled out just before the spear's broken handle could hurt her. The statue immediately froze in place, in its lunging pose with the spear in its mouth. Tsunami panted as she held the dragonet close, and she turned her head to see who had saved her. "Father?" she gasped, looking into the eyes of the pea green Seawing. He flashed something, then paused as he remembered her special situation with Aquatic. 'Okay?' he flashed the question while pointing at both her and the dragonet, and Tsunami nodded. She was very thankful for Riptide's lessons, but figured she could learn more from her father.

Gill sighed in relief then glanced at the newborn dragonet, smiling sweetly at her. He then turned to the statue and swam to it, grabbing it and swimming off. He paused and turned to his daughter. 'Surface. Will see you there.' he flashed before swimming off with the statue. Tsunami looked down at her sister, who of course was holding onto her tightly. She swam up to the surface, wincing slightly at the wounds on her neck.

Tsunami smiled as she swam upwards then leaped into the air, knowing her mother will have to keep her end of the deal by letting Webs and Riptide go.
