Inside the volunteer club, Zishu worked alone, his movements methodical yet distracted as he tidied the chairs and organized papers. He could feel Lan Zhan's presence lingering behind him like a persistent shadow. Finally, Zishu turned around, an eyebrow arched in mild irritation. "If you're going to follow me all day, A-Zhan, you might as well help with the chairs."

Lan Zhan exhaled deeply, his guilt palpable. "A-shu, I never meant to involve you in all this. I tease you about Kexing, but I never wished for you to be with someone you don't like. And now, with these..."

Zishu waved him off with a small, rueful smile. "Relax, Lan Zhan. I guess I'm just getting a taste of my own medicine. Maybe I deserved it."

Lan Zhan's brow furrowed in concern. "But... I still feel responsible. Your name's caught up in all this mess now."

Zishu chuckled, shaking his head. "Well, if you keep shadowing me, your name might get pulled into it too. And remember, this is a volunteer club—so, if you're not going to help, you're better off leaving."

"But....A-shu..." Lan Zhan hesitated his expression troubled, but reluctantly turned toward the door.

As he opened it, his eyes widened in shock. Standing just outside were Wuxian and Kexing. Kexing's face was etched with a storm of emotions, and Wuxian stood beside him, both having arrived just in time to overhear the tail end of the conversation.

Kexing's heart ached with guilt as he realized the weight of his teasing had likely pushed Zishu away. He had replayed their interactions over and over, the burden of his actions heavy on his shoulders. Now, he was desperate to make amends and clear the air, though he was unsure how to even begin.

Lan Zhan's face went pale, uncertain how much they had heard. Before he could react, Kexing pushed past him, heading straight for Zishu. Wuxian, with a firm grip on Lan Zhan's wrist, prevented him from intervening, his own eyes reflecting a mix of concern and curiosity.

Lan Zhan

I stood frozen, my gaze fixed on the scene unfolding before me. Wuxian and Kexing had just arrived, their presence startling. I felt a pang of dread as Kexing moved towards Zishu, but Wuxian's touch on my wrist snapped me out of my thoughts. His grin was mischievous, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"Oh, don't look so worried, A-Zhan," Wuxian said, leaning closer. "Let them talk it out. Besides, you look much cuter when you're flustered."

My heart skipped a beat at his words. "I... I'm not flustered," I managed to say, though I could feel my cheeks growing warm. Zhan, keep it in, keep it in.

Wuxian's smile widened, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Oh, really? You're turning red though. Should I check if you have a fever?"

I swallowed hard, struggling to maintain my composure. "Stop.... teasing me." I'll faint soon, oh god.

His gaze softened, and he leaned in just a bit closer. His voice dropped to a whisper, sending a shiver down my spine. "I'm not teasing. I'm just admiring the view." He paused, his eyes locking onto mine with an intensity that made my heart race. My brain was just screaming on word 'ERROR'.
"You know, I've always found you intriguing, A-Zhan. Smart, mysterious... charming in your own way."

Every word he spoke seemed to pull me deeper into a whirlwind of emotions. I fought to keep my face expressionless, but the warmth spreading across my cheeks betrayed me. "Why are you saying all this?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. STOP FEEDING INTO MY DELULU XIAN GE.

Wuxian's smirk grew more pronounced. "Maybe I'm just trying to distract you... or maybe I want to know more about 'Love Mr. Wei' and its mysterious authors. What do you think?"
