I reached home after dropping her off, feeling exhausted with a sore back.
I went straight to my room, took a painkiller, and messaged Adrija to let her know I had arrived.

Her reply was
"Go and rest. Call me once you're free. And one more thing-before you sleep, drink turmeric milk. It'll help with the pain. Is it still hurting? And don't think I'm not serious; send me a picture of you drinking the milk."

A smile and smirk appeared on my face.
I sent her a voice note saying
"No, it's not hurting much anymore..."

Then I sent another voice message
"But you're not here, so how will I drink it?"

I paused mid-sentence.
She responded with a bunch of knife stickers, though I could see her cheeks turning red.

She said
"Go and sleep..."

I placed my phone on the side table and fell asleep.

When I woke up, my back was feeling much better.
I went downstairs and sat beside Sitara, playing with her.
Just then, my mother came in and asked where I had gone this morning without telling anyone.

I smiled and replied
"I had some urgent work."

She nodded
"Oh, okay."

Bhabhi came in and went straight to the kitchen, returning with a glass of turmeric milk for me.
She said, in front of Mumma and Sitara
"It's an order. You have to drink this."

I smiled and took the glass from her.
I drank it despite not liking the taste, but for her, I was willing to do anything.

Mumma looked at me in surprise and said
"Is this my son? He never drinks this, I repeat never! I love my daughter-in-law, she's got him on track."

Bhabhi laughed and teased
"Biwi abhi bani nahi hai lekin biwi ka gulaam ban gaya hai hamara Adved."
(She is not his wife yet, but our Adved has already become her servant)

I grinned and replied
"Agar biwi uske jaisi ho to insaan kutta ban jaye"
(If a man has a wife like her, he would become a slave)

Mumma and Bhabhi laughed at my comment. Bhabhi then said
"Ved..."

I looked at her and asked
"What?"

She showed me her phone and said
"Look at this."

When I saw what was on her screen, my smile disappeared, and I tried to grab her phone, but she quickly closed it.
I didn't know her password.

She had recorded me making that last comment, which was incredibly embarrassing.

Bhabhi teased
"I'll show this to your Adrija. Let her see how our Adved acts."

I tried to unlock her phone but failed
"Ahhhh, nooooo, it's too embarrassing."

Mumma enjoyed every moment of it.

Just then, I received a call from Lakshya, who sounded off. I stepped away to speak with him privately.

"Hey, what's up? When will you come?" he asked.

"In a week" I replied.

He said
"No, bro, please come sooner."

I asked
"Is everything okay? The company, you?"
