The gang and I hung out on the deck of Liberty, enjoying the nice day the weather had graciously given us, it was technically supposed to be a practice day for Kitty Section but we had decided to relax and play around with our music, focusing on writing new songs instead
"Hi! Hello! Hey there!" I hear Marinette greet everyone as she rushes onto the deck, making a beeline for me and (y/n).
"Luka! (y/n)! Just the people I was looking for," She exclaims soon rambling about what to do about the Kitty Section stickers, (y/n) gives me a look and I turn to Marinette with an amused smile.
"Are you sure that's really what you want to talk to me about?"
"Well..."
"I forgot to grab my cable and picks, we'll be back."
The three of us headed down to my room where (y/n) was quick to tell Marinette to tell us her problem.
"There's a problem with me and I don't know how to fix it..." Marinette starts off, soon talking about everything she can't tell Adrien and herself before apologizing about having us listen to her problems yet again. "I don't understand how you could stand being friends with someone like me! Or how Adrien fell for me!"
Out of the corner of my eye, I see (y/n)'s lips twitch, prepared to speak her inner thoughts. Quickly I grab her hand and squeeze it, causing her to keep quiet as I address Marinette's concerns.
"You're not a terrible friend for needing help and reaching out. It's good you know what the problem is and it's ok to not know how to fix it right away, the solution isn't always easy to see."
"So you're saying I can still fix the problem?"
"Like I told you, you're already working to become a better person, the only way you're gonna feel good enough is when you think you're good enough because Adrien making it clear you are isn't doing it. So do what you think is a healthy way to be good enough for him," (y/n) reminds her begrudgingly and we're pulled into a grateful hug.
We start to head back upstairs when we see Adrien coming down the stairs with his keyboard.
"Hello there Marinette," Adrien blushes.
"Hey...Adrien! What a surprise," The two get stuck in the stairway. "We're stuck. We should try to loosen up."
I squeeze (y/n)'s hand once again seeing her getting easily annoyed by the two's antics as they worked to get unstuck.
"Right then, you turn," (y/n) comments when they get unstuck.
"Right uh...Something is wrong with my keyboard. One of the keys is acting weird."
"You sure that's what you really want to talk to us about?"
Back into the bedroom, we go.
Adrien speaks of his worries about Marinette being too scared to be herself around him and that she'll never know the real him. So I reassure him, explaining how he doesn't know the real me either because I act differently around everybody. (y/n) also offers her advice to be patient and give support whenever he can.
After Adrien leaves, she chuckles in amusement.
"Kids, am I right?"
"We're still kids," I point out.
"Yet we seem to be the parents of the group."
Before I can respond the window behind us opens and Dad pokes his head in.
"Hey (y/n)! Son...I need to borrow (y/n), I have a super important question about this guitar pick."
"Are you sure that's what you want to talk about?" She cheekily asks and I step out of the room to give the privacy when on my way up I run into Penny.
