The Final Day (2): Part 4

"Why don't you tell us about this new school you're funding?"

"This new school is a self-directed learning school, where students will be provided their own learning plan while providing any needed help so students won't struggle with bad grades. Children of all ages will be able to intermix and freely access all kinds of activities. They'll be able to try everything, learn at their own pace, and help each other until they know what to do with their lives while school helps them pursue their passions. Children are our future. If we want it to be bright we must help each child to shine."

Everyone cheers for Ms. Bustier and we watch the rest of the interview when I feel Luka grab my hand and lead me away to a secluded part of the garden before he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close.

"It seems everything is back to normal."

"Yes, we can live in peace now and I'm glad you're back Blueberry."

"Me too," He hugs me tightly and I take in a deep breath, letting his presence consume me.

I missed this so damned much.

Pulling back I give him a smirk.

"Mon Amour, what are you—"

I jump into his arms, my legs wrapping around him as I capture his lips with a bruising and longing kiss which he eagerly returns as he supports my weight.

"I don't know why but something tells me you missed me," He teases.

"Me? Miss you?" I give him a look before smiling and kissing him again. "Yes. Yes, I did."

"I love you (y/n) (l/n)," He tells me against my lips.

"I love you too Luka Couffaine," I whisper back.

In a temporary base, Chat Noir, Ladybug, and I work hard to retransform the miraculous back to their original state with the news on in the background, covering the nightmare epidemic Monarch had caused. Finishing the last one, we sigh in relief when LB grabs the box that was supposed to be holding the butterfly broach and frowns as she looks in the empty box.

"Still no trace of the miraculous of the butterfly?" Su-Han asks and we shake our heads.

"After the wish, all we found were the other miraculous rings, our miraculous, and the double wedding rings," Ladybug murmurs before I chime in.

"We scoured the water and the entire basement but there's been no sign of it."

"Even after repairing everything it was as if the broach had disappeared..." Chat says, voice filled with guilt before shaking it off. "Whatever happens, we'll be ready."

"Su-Han, I have a proposition for you," Ladybug speaks up. "As you know when Monarch stole my yoyo he had access to all the miraculous at once. This must never happen again which is why I'd like to suggest letting the people we've entrusted with the miraculous keep them permanently. The three of us will remain the guardians, to support and help our fellow heroes. We want each holder to be responsible for their miraculous and their kwamii, to be sure that power is used for the greater good, it needs to be shared."

"An interesting idea," Su-Han hums. "I'll have to think it over and go over some more details about this with you."

She nods in agreement, and we start making other plans such as a set, secure base for all of us to meet up when needed, whatever happens after this fiasco, we will be prepared.
