"You poor kid, who did this to you?" The pack doctor who was a man in his mid-forties was the only person that was concerned about me.
I had washed away all the blood, I had gotten a new set of clothes and my left leg was wrapped in a bandage.
I would need to walk with crutches for a week or two, since wolves heal faster than humans.
"Nobody." I smiled, but the pack doctor's face grew even more concerned.
I had gone to the pack doctor, who had his own hospital in town for wolves.
"I will need to call your mother-"
"You don't need to worry, I'm fine. You don't need to call anyone because my mother will not come back for me..." I mumbled, staring into my bandaged leg.
"But-"
I limped my way to the crutches, "Can we act like I was never here in the first place?"
The pack doctor ran a hand through his stubble out of despair. "Fine, but if this happens again, I will call your mother and Richard, your stepfather."
"Thank you." I acknowledged with a slight nod.
"Don't forget to take the painkillers!" The man mentioned before I walked out of his office.
I made my way out of the hospital, it was a good idea that I didn't tell the pack doctor what had happened or else he wouldn't believe me since everyone likes Sophia Nash.
I headed home by car, which the pack doctor had called for me. The person drove me home and dropped me off in the driveway before driving away.
I entered through the front door since I don't see Damian's car in the driveway nor in the garage.
I closed the door behind me, taking off one shoe before I head inside the kitchen, making myself a small meal.
Just as I'm finished pouring the yogurt into the bowl, I hear the engine of a sports car in the driveway, which means that Damian is back.
Why is he back early? He always has afternoon classes, so I should have been free the entire evening since it's only two o'clock.
I limped outside the kitchen and into my bedroom, but I didn't close the door, since I wanted to see if he had company or not.
If he had, I would sleep over at Ash's place, but if he didn't, I would stay at home and rest.
I heard the front door open along with Damian's voice as he seemed to be talking with a person over the phone.
"Dad, Elliott is fine, he has just gotten back from school." Damian speaks to his father about me, but not for long.
Damian puts his father on speaker and by the sound of it, I think he's in the kitchen, putting groceries in the fridge.
"What will he eat for dinner? I have given the maids a month off since I'm on vacation with his mother." Damian's father says, his voice echoing on the first floor.
"He's eighteen, he can handle himself." Damian answered, but his father didn't sound pleased.
"I'm joking, I have already bought groceries to make dinner for the both of us. I will make Chicken Carbonara." Damian tells his father, who sighs in relief.
Will he cook food for me? I could almost melt to that thought since Damian Reed is an amazing cook, he knows his way around the kitchen.
Hopefully, he leaves me leftovers.
The father and son grew silent over the phone, it was the heavy and awkward silence.
"Son, are you able to shift into your wolf form again?" Damian's father asked out of worry.
"No, I haven't been able to shift into my wolf form, but I heard my wolf's voice, he's back." Damian answered, he sounded hopeful.
"You heard your wolf's voice? That's very good, but you haven't transformed into a wolf for the past four years ever since you turned eighteen and haven't find your mate, you're slowly losing your wolf since it can't survive without a mate." Damian's father explained, sounding sad over the phone.
"Dad-"
"You know that I'm right... You always say that you hate mates and think that it's a burden, but without a mate you're nothing. And you know that you have to stop and sleep with other people or else you might never find your mate-"
"Stop, I don't want to hear anymore." Damian pleaded, cutting his dad off.
Damian had always put up this cruel and cold front of not wanting a mate, but now it sounds like he needs a mate to get his wolf back.
"The good news is that I have caught on a scent. Since last night, this sweet scent of vanilla has been lingering in the house, it drives me insane, and I only want to find the person with the sweet scent." Damian slightly changed the topic about this sweet scent.
Wait, did he say a vanilla scent?
When I smelled my sleeves, I was covered in the scent of vanilla. Unlike Damian, who's covered in the heavy earthly scent of sandalwood, its masculine and intense.
If I stay close to Damian, I would go into heat since that's what happens when mates meet for the first time, they want to mate.
"That's good, son." Damian's father sounded happy over the phone.
They talked some more when they suddenly said their farewells and hung up.
Before I headed back to my room, I heard Damian say, "Is it Elliott's scent?"
"No, it can't be, Elliott can never be my mate."
