Chapter-49

Dhruv's POV

After some time, she came out of her room with a bag which she took from her home.

Ground slipped under my feet. She is really leaving. It can't be possible.

She climbed down the stairs. Tears are still on her face.

She again stood at the same place, she stood before. I never saw her in this vulnerable state. She was wearing a dress which I bought for her before. But now She is wearing her old clothes.

She looked at me with rage. Tears are continuously flowing from her eyes. I know these are also to melt me. But I'll not.

"You've told me so many things in these two months but I kept quiet. But today I'll not. You don't have trust in me but I've trust in myself. I have tolerated enough till now. I made you my god. I believed in you. I trusted you. I let you do those things which  I never gave that right to anyone to do. But you broke everything. I'll never give justification to you because you don’t deserve it. I stayed with you after what you did with me just because I promised my baba. But not anymore. You crossed the line and I also have to cross the line of this house now. I give you my word. You'll regret it. " saying that she turned and went out of the house.

And here, my legs became still. I registered what she said. Have I ever thought that she could talk like this? Never. 

'But it's not the time to think about this. She is going. Stop her.' my subconscious mind said.

No, I'll not. This was just her act. She did it to take my attention. But nothing will happen the way she is thinking.

She only took one bag with her. That mean she doesn’t take everything. She'll come back again. She has no place to go except her house.

And after staying in this big house, she can't stay in that small house. I'm 100% sure that she'll come back.

She thought she'd pull this act in front of me and I'd melt. No. This is not going to happen again. But she will come back to her place again.

Oh shit!!! In this chaos, I forgot that I had to go to London for one month.

Fuck!!!

I was thinking about her and how she'll stay alone here and she pulled this stunt.

Even it's good. Whenever she'll stay, she'll come back here again. And like this, one month will also go by.

~One month later~

I wanted to kill Joseph. That fucker was eating my head in this whole month.

Whenever I tried my best to complete my work as soon as possible, that fucker started changing his mind.

I didn’t even get time to check the CCTV footage of the penthouse. But I'm damn sure that she came back and I'll find her when I'll go inside the house.

But this whole month was not easy. It's not for the pressure of work. It's for her. I didn’t get to see her this whole month. I didn’t even get to talk with her.

This whole month her last words were ringing in my ear. Sometimes I thought I should stop her. But sometimes I thought I couldn't make myself weak in front of her again. But I missed her.

The elevator pinged and opened the door. I came out of the elevator and placed the passcode on the lock. The door opened and I entered.

The house is not like what I was thinking. It's the same the way I left it.

The coffee mug is still on the tea table. The light of the dining room is on. But she never let the light on in the dining area. And she always took my coffee mugs from the tea table. But the mug is still in the same place after one month.

That's mean.....she didn’t come back.

I called out her name.
"Rutba!!!Rutba!!!"

No response.

I searched in the kitchen. She is not here. I went to her room. It is also empty. Her bags are only there. She only took one bag with her.

Fuck!!!

I take out my phone to see the footage of the CCTV. I started watching the footage at high speed.

It can't be possible. How didn’t she come back here? It didn’t come in my mind for once that she would not come.

I played the first ten days footage but she didn’t come.

I was watching the footage attentively when a call came on my phone. I didn’t expect this call now.

It's Muskaan. Why is she calling me?

I received the call.
"Hello."

"How could you do that with her? " She is crying .

"Muskaan, what happ-"

"You’re asking me what happened. " She shouted. "I didn’t expect this from you. How could you do this with her? "

So she complained to Muskaan. What can I expect from her? Maybe she is with Muskaan .

"Muskaan, You don't know-"

"What will you say now, Huh? That she betrayed you. She lied to you. She married you for your money. Like seriously? You think this low about her. You didn’t even let her explain. Without knowing the whole truth, you told her to go out of your house when she was in critical condition.   "

"I never told her to go out of the house. She, herself went out. Wait, What are you talking about her critical condition? "

"She is pregnant. "

I must have heard something wrong.
"She is what?"

"She is pregnant. Even  She was pregnant when you let her go out of your house and told her to do all the work of your house."

My legs dropped to the ground. I can't believe in my ear. It can't be possible. She can't be pregnant. We only...But she told me that she would take a pill.

But it's not the time to think that she took the pill or not. The thing is, she is pregnant.

She is pregnant with my child. I'm going to be a father.
