I love you in pictures (NoHyuck)

"What's got you so depressed?" Jisung asks Jeno as he sulks at the cafe.
"I'm so in love with him but I can't say it Jisung. I can't tell him I would die for him because I'm so afraid to lose him, but the worst part is, I don't have him to begin with." Jisung hums.
"Take him on a cheesy fall date. Go to an apple orchard, pumpkin patch or something like that?" Jeno frowns.
"I don't know if he likes cheesy and how can I take him on a date when I'm stuck in the friend zone?" Jisung shakes his head.
"He doesn't need to know it's a date. Just tell him you want to go, and that you want him to go with you, then you make him feel your love with sweet gestures." Jeno sighs.
"That feels deceptive and since when would I want to do any of those things?" Jisung laughs and slaps his shoulder.
"Ooh, ooh, and just in case it isn't abundantly clear, draw it out for him." Jeno frowns.
"You can draw well, make him a small series of cards, explain in pictures how you feel. That way if he doesn't understand it, or rejects you, you can easily explain that the pictures mean something else." Jeno shrugs.
"Maybe I'll try it."

Jeno is fucking terrified. He didn't tell Donghyuck where they were going, just that he had something fun for them to do. He knows he will think it's cheesy as fuck and as they drive he can feel his heart beating outside of his chest.
"Why do you look so pale today? Are you sick? Maybe we shouldn't go anywhere?" Donghyuck questions. Jeno shakes his head.
"I'm ok." He says quickly. Donghyuck frowns, noticing his strange behavior.
When they pull into the lot for the pumpkin patch, Donghyuk sits with his mouth hanging open.
"Wait, this is what you wanted to do?" He giggles.
"Damn, Jeno Lee, this is different for sure." Jeno frowns and hesitates before shutting off the engine.
"Jisung suggested it. He said it would be fun." He shuts off the engine and gets out quickly before he hyperventilates in front of him.

"I mean if you want to leave we can." He says as Donghyuck exits the car. He frowns.
"I don't know why you are acting so uptight. It's always fun to try new things, it just doesn't seem like something you would like." He walks up and takes Jeno's sweaty hand in his, making his heart beat even faster.
"Come on, let's go have some fun." Jeno tries to shake off his nerves and just be normal but in order for it to work at all, he has to treat this like a date in his mind to get his point across.

The pumpkin patch has many different activities to choose from. Jeno leads him first to a face painting booth and requests matching ghosts. Donghyuck thinks they are cute and loves how they match. Next they find a cutout where they can stick their faces through the holes and be Mr. and Mrs. Pumpkin heads. Donghyuck giggles at their pictures and Jeno just loves seeing him giggle. When they walk away from there to their next destination Jeno takes his hand, this doesn't surprise the other too much, Jeno has always liked holding hands with his friends. The thing that takes him a bit off guard is how he laces their fingers together. This is new.

They run off into the corn maze hand in hand.
"This is going to take all day to get out of." Jeno says as they seem like they are walking in circles. Donghyuck chuckles and turns one last corner before they find the exit.
"You forget how good I am at this sort of thing." He says to Jeno's surprised face.
They walk closely, their hands still held tightly  together as they head to the big corn pit.
Jeno almost loses his shit when he ends up pinned under him. He is leaning so close to his face he could just stretch his neck a little bit and kiss him. He doesn't. He releases a breath of air when Donghyuk whispers "gotcha", before rolling off and laughing his ass off.
"I pinned you, who knew it would be that easy, Mr. Muscles?" He laughs, but abruptly stops when Jeno makes a surprise move and sits on his thighs to lean in and whisper to him. His lips accidentally, or not, grazing the shell of his ear.
"Better keep your guard up or you'll be under me every time."

Donghyuck's head turns to the side as he tries to regulate his breathing.
"Yeah, uh, I'll remember that." He says as he finally pushes Jeno off who is kicking himself, thinking he went too far.
"Should we go get some apple cider and take a break?" Donghyuck asks as Jeno helps him out of the corn pit.
"Sure, that sounds nice." He says softly.
The booth has a variety of hot drinks and some snacks too. They both decide to try the caramel apple hot cider, which has caramel flavoring and whipped cream on top, then they grab a cinnamon sugar pretzel and kettle corn to share.
