One second was all it took to completely break me past my limit.

"Your sister has been in a car accident."

Words that completely destroyed me.

"She didn't make it."

Words that tore me from the inside.

"My baby!"

Words that have so much meaning.

"Where is my daughter! I need to see my daughter."

It takes me a while to realize what happened. 

whats happening.

"Ella?" I whisper.

My mom sobs shoulders shaking chest heaving. my dad cries tears cascading chest heaving.

I stare off into the distance wondering how this happened.

I stare off into the distance thinking of her.

The doctors said she is gone she died straight away when the truck crashed into her, she was driving away from my school.

How did this happen?

My sister gone.

Gone.

Forever

Never coming back.

The realization will never hit me.

I won't allow it.

"She's alive," I whisper making my parents look at me.

"She's still here, she can't be gone. it's not possible." my mom walks over to me and grabs my shoulders. "She's gone!" she yells in my face. "She isn't coming back! she's gone!" she starts crying and again and dad holds her. they grieve together.

It's not possible, she can't be gone. she deserves to live, she has a entire future to look forward too.

It isn't until her funeral that I allow reality to sink in.

1 week later

"I don't have time for this!" My dad yells again. I can hear him in Ella's bedroom as I sit on her bed staring at the wall.

"Don't you dare leave again!" My mother yells. 

"Or what? I told you I need some space!"

My heart hurts 

I start rubbing my hand over my heart, it physically hurts it really hurts. tears start streaming down my face as I wrap my arms around myself. "Ella," I whisper. "please come back."
