Chapter 3:- A bit too late

Shinsha's POV

I look at the woman in front of me. After absorbing the soul of that God, she walked slowly towards me. Even though she told me that she was not an enemy, I couldn't just believe her. But, with her strength, there is no need for her to even try and fake a friendship if she wants something. Logically, I should be thinking of how to escape, but for some reason, I feel no thing uncomfortable from her.

She has the same atmosphere around her like father and mother. For some reason, being near her wasn't uncomfortable at all.

"It might be presumptuous of me to say this, young lady, but those people are currently suffering from exposure to excessive divinity. In reality, even you are affected, but since your soul contains one of the most Primordial Chaos Energy, it didn't affect you as much. If you want, I can treat them." The woman, Lilith, said as she knelt in front of me.

"Uhmm.... That.... Please do so." I said as I stuttered due to her unexpected actions.

"Do you know her milady?" It was Jeb who asked this.
"I-I, no. I don't know her. This is the first time I have met her. She is the one who has been stalking us for some time, but..." As my words trailed off, I saw my subordinates wake up one by one. They were surprised at first, but quickly calmed down when I explained everything to them.

*Swish*

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind began to flow as a portal appeared in front of us. I knew the portal all too well. I looked at Ken in surprise.

"Ah! About that. I completely forgot about it after everything that happened, but I managed to contact Lord Rimuru just before the dimensional barrier was set up and asked for help." I looked in surprise at the portal as father walks out of it. Upon seeing me seated in the corner of a room, he slowly walks towards me. Mother also comes out of the portal moments later. Her eyes land at like momentarily before she loses interest in her.

Rimuru's POV

It had been just a few hours since Shinsha contacted us. She told us that she was going to a new world, and that this time, they had no specific destination in mind. Since then, both me and Ciel were wandering around. Chloe, along with Shizue, Gale, Kenya, Alice and Ryota had done out in a get together.

In reality, they invited me as well, but I had to decline because of the important meeting that I am currently in. Sarion, Dwargon, The Eastern Empire and Ingrassia had all come together for a meeting regarding the recent changes in technology.

Though a lot of technological changes were brought to this world because of me and the other worlders, it didn't matter much, since not only was the technology restrained, only those technologies that would benefit the people was brought to light. But now, as the world remained peaceful, the technological and magical research have improved by leaps and bounds.

But that's not the main problem. The main problem is that someone in this world has discovered atomic energy. This new technology is obviously dangerous, for easy to understand reasons.  Unlike magicules which can be detected easily, atomic power is difficult is much more difficult to locate if we are not specifically looking for it.

"I am surprised someone even managed to make this. I can see that Masayuki had also read a bit about this atomic power, but it was too difficult to set up." Rudra commented.

"I don't even know how he managed to get his hands on a radioactive material in this world. I doubt he just randomly found it one day." Ciel said while massaging her head slightly.

"Though the chances are low, what is someone has been creating these materials using magicules?" Gazel asked as he put down his report.

"Isn't that like putting the cart before the horse? Why would anyone sane use magicules to creat radioactive material, that's just a stupid and harmful use of magicules." I respond without much thought. But, just after my words left my mouth, both me and Ciel looked at each other on sudden realization. Everyone else have us a questioning look.

"What if.... What if that is exactly their aim?" Ciel muttered her thoughts out loud.

"What do you mean?" Guy asked.

"Exactly what it seems. Atomic weapons are not only destructive, but they can cause long lasting damage. If something like this is made into a weapon, it could very easily wipe out a country or two alone, and not to mention that area will become completely inhabitable."

"That's right. In reality-" Just as Ciel was speaking, she suddenly stopped. Everyone was surprised to see her stop out of nowhere, but I wasn't. After all, I was contacted by Ken as well.

'Please teleport to these coordinates quickly. Lady Shinsha is in danger.' That's all the message said, along with their co-ordinates.

"Oi! What are you doing?" Guy asked as he stood up, seeing that Ciel was opening a portal right in the middle of the meeting.

"Sorry, but something urgent came up regarding Shinsha. Let Testarossa take our place." Ciel announced while I was contacting Testarossa already.

'Testarossa. Quickly come here.'
'Understood.'

Sensing the urgency in my tone, she quickly teleported to the meeting room.

"Testarossa, take this. This contains a brief of what we were discussing about. Take whatever decisions you want to take." Ciel said as I passed through the portal. The first thing I did was locate Shinsha. She was in one corner of what seemed to be a large throne room.

I slowly walked there making sure there were no traps that were set up.
"Are you alright Shinsha?" I ask her and she just nods her head.

"What happened here? I sense a strong amount of divinity here. Did a God descend here?" I heard Ciel ask from behind me.

"That's right, mother. A God did descend, but he was most probably from the third or second era. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have survived." Shinsha said as she pointed to that women whom I couldn't identify earlier. She was busy healing Alice by injecting her magicules into her.

That's interesting... Divinity is something that can only be removed by sucking it out of the body, yet she is neutralizing the divinity by injecting her magicules. Just what does her magicules contain?

Over the past few hundred years, me and Ciel came to a conclusion. Both of us cannot produce divinity. Divinity is not another form of magicules, per say. It is more like a highly condensed form of magicules, mixed with the intent of the user, a God. Even Guy was able to condense divinity, but for some reason, me and Ciel couldn't. Rather, divinity was harmful to us. Once Veldanava injected his divinity into me to stimulate my body, but it has the opposite effect, as my soul completely repelled the divinity.

"Who is she?" I ask.
"She introduced herself as Lilith." Shinsha said. I looked at the woman named Lilith who stood up and slowly walked towards us. Once she was in front of us, she knelt.

"Greetings, milord and milady. I am glad to see that you are doing fine." Lilith said.
