Aviral was stunned to hear the revelation by his mom. His eyes almost balled out hearing that a girl like Arranya is the reason for something like this?

"No ways mom, what are you even saying? She's barely 19 years old and you're accusing her of something so serious-"

"Avi, do you hear yourself? Do you even know what you're saying? You're taking a random girl's side rather than your own father? Is she that above your own family?"

His mom gritted, pushing him back with her finger on his chest.

"Ek to tum apna khud ka ghar chhor ke, yaha- iss chhoti so jagah me reh rahe ho, saari facilities, sara araam chhor ke tum yaha reh rahe ho, humne kuch nahi kaha, par ab? Ab tum badtameez bhi ho gaye ho ki apne ghar ko chhor ke iss ladki ki side le rahe ho or apni maa se behes kar rahe ho?" She blackmailed, forgetting she has an ethically strong son who doesn't side with anyone without solid proofs.

"Do you have any proof about your accusation, mom?" Avi asked standing bold against his mother but she chuckled at him, taking a step back.

"I knew it." she clapped her hands twice.

"I knew it ki mera krantikari beta ye zaroor puchega, isliye bina proofs ke mai tumse baat hi nahi krti hu ab," she voiced out, turning back to take out a pen drive from her bag.

"Here is your proof, araam se baith ke sari raat dekh lena aaj," she handed him the pen drive aggressively and took her bag to leave his room when her son called out for her without looking in her direction.

"Mom," Avi said, standing parallel to her but looking at his hand with the pen drive. His mom stared at him in anger looking at her left when he slowly turned his head to his right to look back at her.

Serious gaze, and a warning tone, Avi said, "I'm telling you, if you did something to manipulate your resources against Ari, then this time I won't stay quiet."

He warned but his mother just opened the door and fell inside on her back.

"Ouch-" his mom shouted as she fell down with a heavy burden over her.

Opening her eyes slowly, she noticed Arranya over body who was eavesdropping in their conversation from outside but fell on the elderly lady as soon as she opened the door.

"Tum-" Mrs. Kaushik threw Arranya off her body, getting up herself when Aviral ran to help Arranya stand up.

"You okay?" He asked, circling his arm around her shoulders protectively.

"Yeah," but Arranya giggled in reply, awkwardly looking at his mother as she figured what's coming next.

"YOU STUPID GIRL-" Aviral's mom stepped ahead with a hand in air, as she fisted her fingers making it look like she'll punch the girl in her face but halted right there.

However, her bloodthirsty avatar already scared Arranya that made her hide into Aviral's chest, tightly closing her eyes in fear and fisting his sweater even more compactly out of nervousness.

Everyone stayed still in their positions for a few seconds until Ari slowly turned around to look at his mom still blazing at her.

To show her defeat, Arranya giggled again like a child as she came out of Aviral's half hug and joined both her hands in front of his mother, keeping her gaze down and eyes closed tightly.

"Aunty, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I just heard a loud thud of something falling so I thought there maybe some problem, just to hear and make sure everything is okay I was trying to peek in but I swear-"
