"okay." billie answered, getting up and rubbing her eyes. "oh, my family's coming over later, they're coming around twelve and are probably gonna stay until late. you're welcome to join if you'd like." she smiled.

i froze a little, finneas and claudia were mad at me. if her parents know anything about what happened, they'd be mad at me too. i don't want to spend my evening in a house full of people that are upset with me.

and besides, i needed to go home and tend to the dogs and get my phone and all of that stuff.

"i'd love to, but i really need to go home and take care of things." i told her, she squinted her eyes at me, "bring the dogs here." she said, brushing her hair.

i tried looking for a way out, the dogs were my only excuse. nobody else really talks to me, and i'm pretty sure my friends and family are done with my bullshit. i mean, so am i, who can blame them?

i opened my mouth to speak, but she cut me off "you're coming, bring the dogs," she said, continuing to brush her hair, "go home, get changed, and bring them over here. no excuses." she added.

i sighed deeply. "okay." i muttered, making my way out the door. "uh uh," she stopped me, "c'mere first." she demanded.

i walked over to her and she pulled me into a hug, kissing my cheek. "be safe, i love you." she told me, smiling sweetly.

"i love you too." i gave her a small smile back, even though my entire body was filled to the brim with dread. i dragged my feet all the way down the stairs, out of the house, and back to mine.

the moment i opened the front door, all of the dogs began barking. jupiter was the first to get to me, like always. he jumped around, and i bent down to pet him. turtle was next, barking loudly to shift my attention from jupiter to her. i smiled and kissed her head, petting her as well.

eventually they got bored and ran off with each other to play somewhere. i went upstairs and put my phone on the charger, seeing as it had died. i tapped my index finger to my lips as i decided what i should do to prolong having to go back over there.

feeding the dogs was the obvious first choice, so i went back downstairs, washed their bowls and refilled them with their food and some water. next up was cleaning my room.

i sighed out loud as i trudged back up the stairs and stared at my pigsty of a bedroom. billie would be so disappointed in me if she knew i'd tore it right back up after she cleaned it for me. i huffed and just decided to fix up my drawers too, seeing as i haven't really been putting my clothes away properly. half of them strewn across the floor and the other thrown haphazardly inside of the drawers.

i took out the remaining clothes and folded those up, then put the ones on the floor into the laundry basket. i took those into the laundry room, put them in the washing machine, put in the detergent and started the load.

i then went back into my room and cleaned up the rest of the clutter on the floor and threw the garbage away. i then looked around and sighed, what else should i do?

i checked my phone, since it was charged now. just over an hour had passed. maybe i'll take a shower, or a bath? a shower would be better, i didn't want her to be mad at me.

just as i'd thought that, my phone began ringing. i picked it up and answered without checking the caller id. "evren, where. are. you?" billie's voice exclaimed. she wasn't yelling, but she's pretty damn close to it.

"uh, i was about to get into the shower." i mumbled, she huffed loudly, "they'll be here in half an hour, if you aren't here before then i swear i'm gonna beat your ass." she told me sternly. "uh huh." i muttered before hanging up abruptly.
