Hello my lovelies!! I can't believe we've reached our end. When I first started this book, I was so nervous. I didn't know in which direction I wanted to take it just that I wanted zombies in it. It just so happened that as I was laying out the plot it I was also watching Criminal Minds. It was a specific espisode that came on that always makes me feel mixed emotions. As per episode tradition, it had a quote.

"There are times when the mind is dealt such a blow, it hides itself in insanity. There are times when reality is nothing but pain and to escape that pain, the mind must leave reality behind."

When I heard that quote again, that's when I knew where I wanted to take this story. Survivor's guilt and trauma can take such a tremendous toll on someone that that person seldom has options to cope. Many who survive violent crimes and trauma end up forgetting the event all together as a way to protect themselves and that's sort of what Mara did. Only it went to an extreme that she ended up creating this whole new world where her violent tendencies and reactions gave her justification.

I understand that you can argue that the ending will make it seem like it's a full zombie book but that's for you to debate on your own terms. I just wanted to write something cool and I hoped you were able to enjoy and like it.

Keep an eye out for bonus content that I will drop such as in between chapters, unedited chapters that I thought would have been too long etc.
