Joshua woke up without feeling Dokyeom near him. He got out of bed and checked the bathroom and downstairs but he was nowhere to be found.

Had Dokyeom run away from him?

And if he had, then why?

.............

Seokmin paced around his home, his hands permanently stuck to his head as he went round and round. He had not only completely fucked up his mission, he had also fucked up himself and he had deceived Joshua.

He wasn't in love with Seokmin. He was in love with Dokyeom and sure, they were the same person visually, but there was a clear difference.

Dokyeom wasn't real, he was a fabricated persona who Seokmin had made to infiltrate Joshua's company but Seokmin was an evil assassin who had spent his whole life killing and letting people die.

Seokmin didn't know what to do.

He loved Joshua. He couldn't deny that, but he didn't deserve to love Joshua. That was the issue.

But he couldn't end it. There was no way he would be able to look at Joshua and tell him that it was a mistake and tell him that he regretted it because he didn't and he couldn't lie like that. He couldn't hurt Joshua like that.

So what was he going to do?

Seokmin got to the company right on time and headed straight to Joshua's office. They had to leave for a meeting in about 15 minutes so there was no time to waste.

"Good morning Dokyeom." Allison greeted and Seokmin flashed her a smile returning her greeting, "Good morning Allison."

The door to Joshua's office opened before Seokmin even knocked and once Seokmin's eyes found Joshua's face, Joshua dragged him in, closing and locking the door.

"Why the fuck did you run away?" Joshua asked, fuming but beneath his raging exterior was just a broken interior. He was really hurt.

"I didn't run away, I just... I couldn't think, okay, this is all new to me and I just don't feel like I deserve you." Seokmin explained and he really wished he could go into detail but he couldn't.

The guilt had only tripled since last night and he desperately wished he could take everything back. He wished he had never answered that phone call.

He wished he could do so many things with Joshua but he was holding himself back and he would never be able to escape from his own grasp, from his father's grasp, because it would mean losing Joshua.
