Joshua looked at the two shirts on the bed, one blue and one white, contemplating which one to choose.

After successfully securing a deal with the Moretti siblings, Joshua decided to commemorate the victory by asking Dokyeom out on a date.

Except that wasn't the only reason he'd asked Dokyeom out on a dinner date. He had underlying plans, ones that included asking to be Dokyeom's boyfriend.

He felt it was finally time. In fact, the timing was so right.

Sure there were some issues that remained uncovered and unresolved, but they would work it out in due time, Dokyeom would confide in Joshua when he was comfortable enough to do so.

Joshua had absolutely no desire to rush him.

Contemplating for a while, Joshua decided on the white shirt and paired it with some blue pants along with a pair of freshly new white dress shoes he'd asked Vernon to buy since before now, he wasn't in possession of any.

He wasn't exactly a lover of the colour white.

Joshua gazed at his reflection in the mirror, it was certainly the brightest outfit he had ever put on. Almost like he was trying to mask his darkness and shove down his past.

His sudden thoughts made Jeonghan's words from yesterday flash through his brain. The sentence lingering in his head.

'You'll never be the victim you think you are Joshua, you can try to run and try to hide it all but you know the truth, everyone will always leave you in the end... including that little play thing of yours."

He shook his head in an attempt to disperse the thoughts and it worked temporarily, giving him enough time to take out his phone and scroll through his contacts, pressing Dokyeom's number and calling him.

You'll never be the victim you think you are.

Jeonghan's words were like a punch to the gut, they twisted Joshua's insides around, confusing him and at the same time, pissing him off.

Everyone will always leave you in the end.

Joshua took a deep breath, calming himself down while he tried to think of other things. Things that mattered. To him, Jeonghan didn't matter anymore and he never would ever again.
